Commited to Ohio per twitter.
LOL. Good for him.
This is just a kick in the junk if I ever seen one.
Building a pipeline to Cass Tech......GO BUCKS
Wow, didn't see that coming.
Lockdown Nation @DameWebb
I'm proud to be a Ohio State Buckeye #Committed
Wow, is right.
It's posts like this that make me wish this was a VIP board.
I am willing to bet this one ain't over yet!
Again, I have trouble getting excited about a recruit more than a year away from signing day. Sucks, but..meh.
Wow, good get for them.
As an OSU fan I'm not too excited yet as I also feel this isn't over, I haven't followed him much has he been on UMs campus at all?
Honestly I don't even care one bit. He's a good player, and if he wants to go to that shithole of a place then that's fine. Honestly I don't think he thought it through and committed off of emotion and his dad will have something to say about it, but we'll see.
Please don't go into RCMB meltdown mode.
Most shocking commitment I've ever seen.
I posted on our OSU site earlier this week I thought the Buckeyes were a threat to Michigan but never saw this coming, especially this weekend. I thought Michigan was the team to beat as did just about everyone.
The Buckeyes scored a huge upset on Sunday, landing Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech Top100 2014 CB Damon Webb over in-state Michigan.

The world is going to end.... j/k
Thanks though. I think this is a shock to everyone.
Not a big surprise to me. I expected to lose some 14 recruits to ND and OSU that in a normal year UM would land. Winning matters. Hopefully Kelly's flirtation with the NFL will help us keep McDowell home because that is the instate kid UM really needs. Webb is a nice looking athlete but wake me up when a Cass Tech player actually lives up to their recruiting hype in college. And that goes for all the ones who choose Michigan as well.

Okay.... Whew.... The world is safe and everything is back to normal.
Look...no idea if this is over or not, with a year left...but doesn't Webb remind you kind of like Dawson and Richardson, both who wanted to take visits later?
He may end up at OSU...but I have a gut feeling he is going to want to take visits elsewhere by summertime.
How solid do you think Webb is to OSU? After all, he cited academics as a reason for his commitment which is almost laughable.
I understand getting caught in a hyped atmosphere which I'm sure there was today in Columbus, but I can't imagine Michigan is near out of this race. Kid knows so many people at Michigan and admittedly loves the school, I can't figure out why he would shut down his recruitment so early in the process aside from getting caught in the hype.
If he sticks there, good get for them. At least 2014 is loaded with DB's.
Bring on my #1 CB, Parrker Westphal
It's one thing for a Cass guy to commit to OSU. It's another to cite academics as one of the main reason. Reminds me of what Bates-Diop said. What info are they feeding these kids about academics over there?
They are feeding them the same thing they fed Cardale Jones. "Come here and you won't have to work in the classroom, and you can still get a degree if you want".
He ain't commit to play SCHOOL! Classes are POINTLESS!!!!
IMO kids that commit this early usually tend to stick. He liked OSU better. Can't really blame him given the fact that they're coached by a 2x NC, coming off an undefeated season, likely preseason top 5, and the odds on BIG favorite.
Until Michigan can shut OSU up on the field, expect more of the same. It is what it is. I'm done with the excuses. We got beat.
Seeing some things now that apparently he liked OSU more for quite some time and wanted to be a Buckeye. I wasn't over here making excuses, just trying to figure out where the commitment came from. Again, we will get a great DB haul in 2014, just sucks one of the kids we lost comes from our pipeline.
