Kid has been blowing up at camps. If i remember right, really stood out at the recent Ohio Nike camp.
Watching the video, he lacks wiggle and there isn't much showing any straight line speed. He already knows how to high point the ball, great RZ threat.

That's pretty much what I read about the NFTC camp performance. Not a speed guy, but just seems to catch everything thrown his way. Sounds very similar to Jaron Dukes in that regard with height and great hands, but not necessarily explosive.
Sparty has felt if they offer they could get him, so should be an interesting visit.
He catches a ton of passes down the field, which is what the coaches are looking for in the future pro-style offense by their outside receivers. He can really go up and get it. It will be interesting to see how his visit goes. We hope to have more from Csont'e post visit.
Is Dukes a good high-baller or is he just tall?
York definitely doesn't have Dukes' size.
Love York. He's made our top10 at the last two events we've seen him. He's a really good player that is truly under the radar.

How do you say his name?
Not sure, but I would guess Zon-tay ...like Larry Csonka.
Edit: ^^^ nevermind

Not likely, but a guy I'd take on my team any day. A competitor, sure-handed WR that can go up and get it in traffic.
Not sure I understand this offer unless the Treadwell situation is not looking favorable. Why not let things play out through the summer or even into the fall to see who else emerges from camps and/or senior seasons? Were we at risk of losing out on York if we didn't try to grab him now?
Any 40 times on him?
They want 3 WRs and a lot of the further-away targets are longshots at best (Allen, Larue, Stringfellow, the new Florida kids, etc).
I think with York blowing up the camps recently we were at risk to losing him if we didn't jump in now. Lots of talk about him being very interested in Sparty, so had they offered first who knows... Seems smart to jump in now and at least make up for the lack of contact with being the first BCS offer.
Last I heard, the plan was for Michigan to take two more. I still think the Wolverines are the team to beat for Treadwell.
Maybe the coaches just really like him? I heard that MSU thinks they get him if they offer, so maybe the coaches are heading that off? I kind of agree with you, but not because I don't think he's a good WR. I just think we need some kind of burner. Like a track guy that will stretch the field on every play; pull safeties deep and make corners respect the speed. We already seem to big body receivers who go up and get the ball. Maybe Chesson can be the speed guy? State champion hurdler with a 6'3" body is pretty good.
Steve, I know he isn't considered a burner, but does he look to have enough speed to get by Div-1 CB's?
My inital reaction to York was that he would be a great coachable prospect. Plenty of talent and potential, but nothing eye popping. A lot of the clips were redzone fades that the team obviously practiced a lot. He wasn't a burner, but out-jumped everyone and had impecable timing on those jumps. He got to where he needed to be and got done what needed to be done. I am happy with the offer because the coaches obviously see something in this kid that maybe the average UofM fan doesn't. Plus I believe Hoke and Co. are going to get high moral kids who work hard and really want to be a part of this school's history. That in and of it's self will breed a philosophy and culture of giving your heart and soul on the field, which will lead to better developed players and wins.
I'm ok with this offer. I don't think it says anything about Treadwell. We're looking good for him still. It probably says something about the other WRs we're in on, where things have never looked good for us (especially with Ateman and Massington coming off the board recently)
I like this guy. Commitment watch?

I hope he takes his time. I would like to see how things play out with some of the other big timers right now.
I had a feeling he would get an offer after the recent Ohio camp he attended. The 247 writer said that he stood out.
Edit: But I didn't this he would get one so soon.

Realistically, who else are the Wolverines in on except Treadwell?
He beat Burrows and Jayme Thompson a few times at the CBus event
