At this point I am not surprised. This is frustrating losing 2 top recruits. On another note, an additional scholarship opens up. Michigan will more than likely want to use it. With the DL needing help, why not make a full court press on Muhammond? We have many recruits for CB in '14 we are in good with.

My opinion on this is Conley really wants to play on the offensive side of the ball, hence his infatuation with Oregon as a WR. There were about 50 threads here on Saturday, a game he watched with his own eyes, complaining about how bland our offense was and how Borges needed to go. So it couldn't have been very hard for Meyer to tell him he can play WR in either of the 2 offenses he saw on the field and easily make him think about it. Mattison going in today and likely telling him the visit meant he wasn't considered a commit anymore made the choice even easier. I also wonder how much Devin Smith played into it. He's a former Massilon WR who was supposedly high on Michigan before committing to OSU.
Kid looks like a great prospect, too bad we'll likely have to see him on the field 6-7 times in the next 4-5 years between The Game and the B1G Championship.
He also said there would be blood on the field.....
RT @MarcGivlerBG: When I asked Gareon Conley this evening to list the schools he is still considering, he only provided one, #OhioState
I wouldn't call him an Ohio commit just yet. Sounds like the coaches are still recruiting him and he only has UM and Ohio as his choice of schools. He wanted to see other schools, not because he didn't like UM but because he didn't see what else was out there when he committed. I'm curious to how this plays out.
Michigan has moved on and so has Conley. He is going to OSU.
Dizzo, Conley is not going to play WR at OSU. They are recruiting him as a cornerback.
No idea why this is breaking news or so surprising. Usually when a recruit starts talkin bout visits/committed to soon stuff- means sooner or later he will decommit. Also didn't help Ohio goin undefeated and Michigan havin a sub par suck season. This kind of situation will happen. It sucks - but o well...
If we go to a 8 team play off we could play each other 3 times. We have to move the game we cant play 3 times in 4 / 6 weeks depends on the play off format.

It is what is is. Not going to sweat all the trauma that is high school football recruitment. I ain't mad atcha. Those who stay...
Well, maybe there was, and he was correct, it wasn't his.....haha.....
This I think it hurts UM and helps OSU but I bet there was 10 other recruits more important to the class than Conley. Its not like we stole Sugar Shane.
Ah jer89,... lost little boy blue. My bitch for the day.
Our team has 7-5/8-4 type talent and that's exactly how we played on the field this season. We overachieved a bit last season. This year, we didn't.
I've had the priviledge of attending some spring practices each of the last five years. Talking to former players who have also been in attendance, they will tell you that we simply don't have enough of the typical Michigan type talent to compete with the better teams in the country, especially in the trenches and at the offenisve skill positions. We're still another couple of recruiting classes away from getting to that level.

How people can forget this reality is beyond me.
Word has it your a cross dresser. That's why your rating is so low. Hope your IQ is better. Aren't you Tress former's beeyatch & now hanging out with U.Crier ?
Don't be mad I turn you down. Someday you will find the guy for you. I am just not guy like you. And my rating is low because dickheads like you don't like the truth. Treadwell is not going blue. Speaking of Tress. I knew you were a Ohio troll. And I am still right.
WTF fellas? Cut it out.
I agree with u...just bitter about how the season played out.
You got it. It's clear, don't like him, nothing but a troll.

You don't have your facts right sir. UM has not moved on, in fact they let Conley know that they will not immediately pursue another corner to give time for Conley to visit and make up his mind. They will not wait long at all but they have far from moved on.
I just can't agre with this assessment of our talent. We lost on the road to two of the top 5 teams in the country by a total of 12 points, and we easily could have won either of those games...really, we just gave those games away with stupid mistakes and bad coaching. If that's not "competing with the better teams in the country," I dunno what is.
Now, did we have National Championship-level talent on the team this year? No, of course not, our game against Alabama proved that well enough. But this team was good enough to compete at whatever the level just below Alabama is, and we're right to be frustrated that our record this year does not reflect that.
Also a dynamic to look at, skill can often negate bad coaching....so when you lack skill and solid consistent coaching, it is a double whammy.
