No, I mean, UM's obviously trending up, but from where they were 5/10 years ago, they couldn't get any lower, ie. there was nowhere to go but up..
UM struke gold with Burke.. let's see what happens when he's gone.. I'm guessing, it's a step back considering how the entire O is run through him shooting or 2- penetrating and dishing to open guys because he draws so much attention.
Even said UM would be top 10 if only Burke left.. hard to gauge though w.o knowing who is leaving and who is coming back.. the point wasn't to troll, but that's how you decided to take it
@joerexrode 2m Also, Adreian Payne talked about his class load for next year, could graduate early but plans to spread out credits so he can play in 13-14.

No need to adopt a fixed timeframe. Let's stick with all time. All time we have a winning record against MSU. All time we've played in more national championship games. And all time we have the same number of B10 regular season titles. You are ahead of us by one national championship and a couple of final fours, but let's face it ... that 2000 title is starting to fade. And as I posted above, we clearly have been more successful recently.
Good luck next weekend. Good luck to all the B10 teams unless they are playing us. But just remember ... you had a decade plus of no UM basketball to compete with and that vacuum enabled you to catch up to us. We are back now and we are coming for our crown.

BigPapi and Sparty nation are in for a rude awakening. Football has already started. Basketball is next. Denial is still primary emotion in Sparty nation.

Ah yes.. can't forget those B1G Titles from 1920
Carry on with your troll self.. I guess we just have different versions of success.. if the h2h record over UM makes UM's season, that's wonderful.. MSU simply has bigger fish to fry
Do you want to see Izzo's #'s vs the rest of the field in the B1G???
BigPapi is funny. He indirectly picked a fixed timeframe as well. The manure school lives on.
How is basketball next? 1 SS in 20 years?
C'mon.. maintain expectations here please..
Burke is a very important component on this team and there's no debating that, but he is not our entire offense. We won our past two games, where Burke had 6 points and 7 turnovers respectively. We dominated those games. This is because we have a very good team, top to bottom, and it's only getting better.
While losing Burke will hurt, Walton has every bit of potential to step right in and be the floor general with talent all around him. If he so much as matches his hype, we get either GRIII or THJ to stay, and Irvin contributes, we will be a top-10/15 team all year without a doubt in my mind. Potentially even higher. This is more a reflection on having a returned/more experienced Glen or Tim, Stauskas, McGary, Levert, Horford and Morgan than it is praising our incoming recruits, who will also be fantastic at Michigan. Makes no difference to me if you underestimate our bright future, so suit yourself.
If UM only loses Burke or Burke and GR3, I think there's no doubt they are top 10-15.. if they lose Burke and Timmy they might be 15-20, but still has potential to be higher depending on how the frosh play.
While Burke hasn't scored much- he also has 14 assists and the talent level between the teams UM was playing wasn't even close.. let's see what happens against KU and who stays and who leaves.. too hard to say right now about next year.
This thread is for Michigan basketball recruiting, not your obsession with all things Michigan. GTFO
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Poor Cope ... he just can't handle the fact that Izzo's best days are behind him and Michigan is back as a national basketball power. Have you seen the latest ESPN reseeding of tbe Sweet 16 teams? This isn't an article about last decade. It's about last weekend.
I wanna ban him but he'll just come up with another name. This is his fourth or fifth.
Is this up there with the Denard NCAA Cover trophy, september Heismans and January #1 rankings banners?
Still waiting on what makes you think Booker is looking more at UM than MSU
Just having a discussion.. not trolling.
The ironic thing is Sparty probably won't lose much because they don't have anyone the NBA wants.
I don't care. This isn't the thread for that. Take it to tBB. This is our board and no one wants to come and read a page of an insecure Sparty rambling about why Michigan basketball sucks. So leave.
Let's just say Booker has much more chance of ending up at UM than Parker does at MSU. But don't fret ... you still have Russell Byrd.
I could really care less what this troll thinks.
Michigan is here to stay in basketball, anyone that denies that is kidding themselves.
Michigan was ranked the best NBA talent in the tourney. We may loose Tim, Burke, and GRIII but will still be a top team next year.
MSU is a great program. I respect the hell out of Izzo and think he probably is the best coach in the game. Even he knows Michigan is a power that is rising from its slumber with unlimited resources.
In the words of the immortal Darius Morris, "Now GTFO our board."
this comment isnt trolling? oh really?
no this is up there in legendary status with the MSU NCAA Cover trophy, September Heisman's and January #1 ranking banners.... oh wait, none of those ever happen.
dont be mad that none outside of Michigan gives two craps about your school.
I'm tired of seeing these b!tches come onto our board and troll well-intentioned threads.
And I don't give up a flying hoot if he keeps making new usernames. If I was mod, I would ban every new one. It would be a perpetual game of wack-a-troll and I'd be fine with frequently using the ban-hammer.
The objective? Identify and get rid of each new username before it gets to 10 posts.

All those Final Fours over the last few years definitely helped Izzo get Jabari Parker.
Before I start, let me just say I agree with you that MSU's basketball prestige is still unquestionably higher than Michigan's. Izzo is an elite coach.
But there is no way on earth MSU comes into next year ranked number 1. None. Have you seen the team Kentucky will have next year? Florida, Duke, Louisville are all undoubtedly better than MSU going into next year then MSU is in the mix with the next tier.
And honestly I wouldn't take the word of his own mother for anything. Those type of things are constantly proven wrong. This year's draft is dog crap. He should leave now.
Also, you know nothing about Beilein's offense or recruiting and maybe nothing about basketball in general. We'll score just fine without Burke next year. Walton is one of the top HS PGs in the country and Beilein's motion offense is built to feed multiple scorers. You think it all depends on Burke because we run so much PnR THIS year. And we'd be pretty stupid not to seeing where he's the best player in the country.
Most if not every reputable basketball recruiting analyst and site thinks Michigan is right in the thick of it for Booker, if not the leader, so that's also wrong. Izzo has proven that, while being an elite coach, he isn't the type of recruiter that walks in and takes whoever he wants (see Jabari Parker).
I think that sums up everything you've said in here that's wrong. Oh yeah, and you missed out on Jabari Parker. Just felt like throwing that in there again.

You came to this board calling MrWoodson "woody" and calling Beilein "B____". You're lying, again.
