I'm assuming osu fans still think clifton garrett is a buckeye lock after naming ole miss his top school.
Where'd you see this? Pretty funny if true - Ole Mi$$ doing work.
If Garrett did name Ole Miss as his leader, then it's pretty funny because Freeze clearly doesn't care about not attracting needless attention.
Also, how long before Urban Meyer files a complaint to the NCAA?
IIRC, a number of SEC coaches b!tched to the NCAA about Cam Newton.

Ole Miss lock IMO
After last year....I won't be surprised.
Doesn't he go to the same school as Treadwell and Standifer?
No, that's Nyles Morgan who is actually a pretty smart kid.
Ah, thank you. Had my Illinois LB's mixed up.
what is it with ole miss lately?
damn, they have been getting some big names (and having big names list them as their top choices)...
i mean, i get bama, lsu, fla and even georgia will always land these guys, but ole miss?????
they are quietly building a strong team down there and if these recruits pan out, watch out bama!
Except it isn't being built quietly. Everyone is hearing it and not necessarily in a good manner either. Doesn't help when Treadwell is flashing Benjamins with no care in the world. It's only a matter of time before someone squeels about it. I can somewhat see last year being the perfect storm(Nkemdiche and his brother, Treads and Standifer, etc.) but for them to go and start packing classes with top talent like this is a bit of a stretch.
Thanks, just checked it out.
TBH, I don't care how Ole Miss is doing it, I want to see them cause havoc in the SEC. Even if they are paying players, I honestly think a large number of SEC schools (and, hell, probably D-1 schools in general) offer off-the-books benefits to players, so I just want to see one non-traditional power in the SEC upend things and steal players from other top programs (except for when it's at our expense, obviously).
Garrett switches his leader every month, the only thing consistent for us is he always has us mentioned in his top group, he is a lock by no means, these are the kind of kids that you don't know where there going until NSD day, if he were to verbally committ somewhere early I don't see him ending up at that place, he loves the process.
I agree with you for the most part, although I think anyway you cut it, losing Midwestern talent to the SEC is not a good sign for the B1G. OSU and Michigan can overcome it (both have had consensus top 10 recruiting classes every year for the last 3 years), but definitely not a good sign for the rest of the B1G's depth. In years passed, if a player like Garrett or Treadwell from Illinois didn't end up at OSU, Michigan or ND, he'd end up at Illinois, PSU, Wisky or MSU; these days it's the SEC. I don't see teams like Ole Miss picking up Midwestern talent as hurting or upending the rest of the SEC, I see it as upending/hurting the B1G's overall depth.
