According to various reports, Oregon head coach Chip Kelly has taken the same position with the Eagles.
Clint .... do you see Michigan making a run at any recruits at OR?

Took the head coach job?
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
I wouldn't mind making another run at Darren Carrington. I wonder if pharaoh brown would like to transfer now.
Not sure. It's definitely possible. We'll have to wait and see what happens. One recruit this could help with is 2013 prospect Durham Smythe, who has Oregon in his top group with Michigan.
Just created a thread about this.. I'll delete it and copy what I said here..
It likely takes them out of the running for both Green (Who I doubt was going there), and Hunt if the coaches still will take another OL.
I would also put out a feeler to Darren Carrington to see if he might want to visit. Can't hurt.
Due to their spread offense, I wonder if OSU is going to hit some of those recruits hard.....
Wouldn't mind a Pharoah transfer and/or a Smythe commitment....
Forgot about him as well.. Potentially huge ramifications on how we close out the class.
The thing is - they basically have Kelly's succession plan already figured out. Read an article about it but can't find a link right now. Basically, Mark Helfrich, the offensive coordinator, is stepping right in. He was actually the head coach last year for a few hours when Chip Kelly accepted the Bucs job and has held somewhat of an assistant HC role, like Hoke with Carr.
Not saying it will or won't affect recruits, just that their sales pitch to the offensive players is probably 'nothing changes, we still run the same system and have all this sweet Nike stuff'.
Edit: Not the article but the same basic premise:
If Chip Kelly's last game at Oregon is the Fiesta Bowl, the Ducks have their next coach. Offensive coordinator Mark Helfrich will be promoted to head coach if Kelly jumps to the NFL, according to a person with

How come NFL never goes for Urban? You would think he would at least garner interest, but you never hear his name
Seriously, I bet Pharoah Brown feels real stupid right about now.
Also, good lord, how have you been here 14 months and only have 11 posts?
I wonder if this will slow down Notre Dame recruiting for 2014 since the path Chip followed (flirt last year, ultimately go this year) really looks like what Brian Kelly is doing.
He cracked after a few winning seasons in college, and the NFL is just as, if not more intense.
It might, I think every ND recruit and fan should be taking everything Kelly says with a grain of salt, because he's made it pretty clear that he's willing to jump ship. If ND has another good season, I think Brian Kelly is gone.
I think its a terrible move by Chip. He was making his niche there in Oregon and had them as national title contenders every year. Plus Philadelphia is a dirty place and their fans are brutal when they lose. I respect his decision, but I don't understand it at all.
According to Barton Simmons (247Sports national analyst) Darren Carrington will "most likely" open things back up in his recruitment.
If he wants to go to the NFL, he couldn't have picked a better place for his system than Philly. Philly has an abundance of young playmakers and a top draft pick this year.
I agree that he should never have left college ball, but I can understand it from the point of view of a coach set on coaching in the NFL.
Good. Forget banking that 28th scholarship now, hold it out there for Carrington and Smythe, and whichever jumps first gets it.
And with the #4 pick in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles select Denard Robinson, Quarterback, Michigan!
It might make for an easy transition keeping the O and everything, but it will affect recruiting. The Robinson twins have already decommitted and the word is an APB Wilson may be jumping ship.
I like both ideas, actually.

How many people got kicked out of the 49ers game last week for fighting and just drunkenness . Believe it was around 100. Philly always gets the bad rap.
Philly is an awesome city with knowledgeable fans, that wants to win. Go to a Flyers game vs a rival atmosphere doesn't get better than that
He's kind of a douchebag.
Sweet! He's from San Diego, so I wonder how good of a relationship Hoke & Co. have with him and his HS coaches. That might be helpful considering how little time there is between now and NSD.
I swear, I came to this thread to type the same exact thing.
