A quick question from a Buckeye fan..........
I hear a lot about Cass Tech. What kind of school is it, and does your fan base believe it to be a "pipeline" for the best Michigan players to come out of. OSU considers Cleveland Glenville a pipeline, and we try to pull at least one player from that roster on a yearly plan.
Glad to watch the top 2 Big Ten schools continue to dominate on the field and recruiting.
It is a pipeline to Michigan and has a good amount of D1 caliber players every year.
Cass Tech is arguably the best public school in Detroit. It plays in the Detroit Public School League (in the top class of MI's divisions), and is coached by Michigan alum Thomas Wilcher.
Yes, we do consider it a pipeline.

OT, but why do you have BU as your sig?
Transferred from U of M.
How do you like it so far?
It was great, I just didn't get into Ross, so I'm going to business school elsewhere (and I missed NEPA, so Binghamton is located well).
(Edit: After I start in the fall, I'll let you know how I feel about BU.)
What are you studying in business?
Just to add to what the others have said, a lot of people don't know that Cass Tech actually has a selective admissions process (a test, interview, etc.) that kids have to go through in order to get in.
With Hoke at the helm...anyone coming out of Cass Tech is UM from day 1
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
If you Google directions from Cass Tech to East Lansing, your computer blows up.
I consider Glenville as a pipeline school for Michigan now.
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
Iowa has their foot in the door at Cass Tech also. Illinois has a commit for DT Kenton Gibbs for the 2013 class.
Very true. The Hawkeyes have established themselves as the team to beat if Michigan and Michigan State don't offer (Iowa didn't offer Gibbs).
No Troll, but on a National scale, isn't Iowa more prestigious than Sparty from a Football and Bimbo angle? I have yet to meet an ugly female Iowa Hawkeye student
Go Blue and Go Titans!
I've never met an Iowa girl nor have I been on the campus. But MSU seems to be the more stable program (low attrition, very low coaching turnover). Iowa has had a problem with those things, as well as off-the-field issues. They've also been pretty up and down recently. They've yet to win the conference since they did so in '02 and '04 (which they shared each year). Aside from their great run in '09, they've been about a 7 win team as of late. To Iowa's credit though, they do a great job of producing NFL talent, particularly in the trenches.
