I know that this has been repeated multiple times but how can an article intended to be on the 247 network be published with such a bias to OSU? I know Helwegan is an OSU writer and all but this 'article' really shows how well of job you guys do Clint. You guys continue to show professionalism while others continue to show their blatant homerism.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Haha thanks for the support.
I assumed from that headline he would be a lot more enthusiastic about Ohio State but it seems obvious that the kid really loves Alabama.
I would like to request that articles from Steve Helwagen and Bill Kurelic not actually be published on the Michigan board. I have no interest in reading an entire article fellating OSU in order to see one line that says that a prospect is also considering Michigan. I would much prefer it if Clint/Steve/whoever would just post something like "Per Steve Helwagen, Orlando Brown Jr. likes Michigan" and then a relevant quote. I'm not on here to read about how much Helwagen loves OSU.
Thanks for your mature/honest opinion. We'll keep that in mind.
When this was posted on Bucknuts, most of us also felt he was Bama bound if he had to choose today. Tough to argue with anyone going to Bama right now. Until Satan leaves they are going to be the school of choice as they are putting guys in the NFL at every position. Can't y'all pull some strings and get Detroit to offer Saban the keys to the state to get him out of college?
I recognize that cross-promotion of articles is a big part of 24/7 given the nature of recruiting, but there are simply some writers who aren't capable (or at least haven't demonstrated that they're capable) of writing objective pieces that appeal to multiple fanbases, and as a result, I'd just like to avoid having those pieces spam the board.
Also, I believe this board has generally made its opinion of Steve Helwagen pretty well known, so I'm not going to say any more on the matter.
Agreed 100%, and judging by your upvotes on this comment I'd guess you're not alone.
There seem to be a few sites that have what I would call "pandering" writers and some who are very good, very fair and neutral writers. Michigan's writers are definitely the latter.
I'll second this as well. Just because it's a kid both school are after, doesn't mean I want to read their OSU propaganda. I'm sure if we wanted to read articles pertaining to OSU, we'd simply go to Bucknuts.
Clint .... who can we suggest ideas to ay 247? Meaning, I am constantly mobile, but cannot stand the mobile web version. When can 247 build an actual native mobile app?
