He didn't like anything from the scrimmage!!!!
No but seriously, we have a lot to work on but I think we did some good things as well. I loved the secondary play and the play by the defense inside the 10 yard line.
I'm confident the secondary will be the strongest unit on the defense with 3 guys returning as 3rd or 4th year starters (Floyd, Kovacs, and Avery to an extent) with Countess looking to build on a strong campaign from last year. I think T.Gordon and M.Rob will take a big steps. Gordon actually played extremely well this season. While Robinson had some brain farts, if he can put it together he can be a big time player.
Defensive line didn't really look tremendous to me, but didn't look bad.
Tough to judge the offense as Robinson didn't play...but I'm sure we'll be just fine. The Center-QB exchange will get better throughout the summer.
It's hard to judge a spring game because it's tough to tell who's playing well and who's playing poorly.
I agree. I was really looking to see the d-line bring it a little more than they did. The looked good one play, and someone gets handled the next. It is tough to tell without really breaking down film. We got some work to do before Bama.
Mich Alum '92 & '94.
is it true you only had 25000 fans show for the game? That is Miami like. lol
To be fair earlier on they indicated that severe thunderstorms would likely force the game to be moved indoors and only immediate family would be allowed to watch in that scenario. Luckily the weather cleared up, but I'm sure plenty of people canceled their travel plans because of the uncertainty related to weather. Also I was there, and I'd put it around ~35000.
understandable. With TV coverage, I probably would have stayed home too.
Go Blue and Go Titans!
I've actually always been surprised at how "small" UM's spring game is. I'd have to assume a large part of that is the "Fort Schembechler" mentality and keeping as much as possible under wraps. If 100,000 people showed up the coaches may actually try to make it entertaining - aka open up the playbook - and this is a huge no-no.

I was going to go but last night they said they might move it inside and close it to the public. Since it is a three hour drive for me I decided not to go.
lol spring game attendance is serious business
Did Brady Hoke actually say, "We Suck" after the scrimmage? If so, is there a link to this?

No he was just unhappy with the way we performed today.
Who do you expect to win at OSU's spring game?
is it true you're a douche trolling on our board? That is Buckeye like. lol
40-34...does that sound better. Mixed nuts.
Another nut angry that his stadium can't hold 113000+...
Whoop...there it is. !
So when we continue our run over the next 10 years is your only argument still gonna be 40-34 back in 2011? That's about as juvenile as me thinking we run the table over the next 10 years in this matchup. Come up with something new already. That and OHIO is so overplayed nobody gives a crap anymore.
Ok, I'll come up with something new for Ohio.
Ohio has a great shot at winning the big ten this year.
Ohio has a great shot at winning a bowl game this year.
I would almost care what you had to say but in regards to Ohio, you guys say scum any chance you get, but that's not juvenile right? Keep trying though.
Do you hate Woody Hayes?
Lol cool story bro. Does 58-43-6 sound better? And if you don't care that we call you ohio why bring it up the way you did?
