I don't even think even half of us were confident we would get Green yesterday, despite pretty much every analyst out there saying UM was all but a done deal. We're just a bunch of debbie downers, iyam
Have you been over to RCMB?
Yeah, most of them thought they were actually getting Jabari Parker though, so I'd say they are more optimistic than pessimistic. They just meltdown when the prediction doesn't go their way lol.
It was controlling the emotion in case of disaster. Lots of lost recruits lately in the waning moments. This is a positivr that will contribute to more confidence. But too much confidence makes us look bad when you start on the tracks to arrogance
Maybe, maybe not.
Oh, I meant in football.
But I think we have had a rough run the last couple of years. That is the main reason...take a while to get our attitude back.
Well I was just talking in general, not a specific sport.
Has anyone seen Green's twitter? It's almost David Dawson-esque with Michigan love. It surprised me since I always felt he was looking for a better alternative than Michigan. He seems all in for the school, and the future looks bright!
Given that every other fan base seems to be filled with either justifiable arrogance (Alabama) or completely delusional homers (every other school's teams) yeah I'm gonna say we're the most pessimistic.
Frankly, I'd rather be pessimistic than either of those alternatives.
Some might characterize it as pessimistic, I characterize it as realistic. There's no sense in getting incredibly excited over everything when we know what the recruiting game holds - we won't get every recruit we want, no matter what, and we will suffer decommits every year. I'd rather keep my expectations low until justified, and then get pleasant surprises when stuff like commit-a-palooza or the Green commitment happens.
Not even close.
Just seems like he went through the process very thoroughly and wanted to make a good decision.
Not even close to our board. I think people are happy on there when something goes bad. They don't even know how to be happy.
I view the MSU fanbase collectively as a battered wife. There may occasionally be good times, like a couple double-digit-win seasons, but soon enough, everything reverts to crap and the wife is left making excuses for her bruises and praying that things get better, even though she knows the good times will be so few and far between that they're practically negligible.
can the wife blame her bruises on the refs?
In this analogy, the refs are the "doors" that the wife walked into.
you need to stop come back already. we miss you <3
The battered wife syndrome has left them all snarky! Who needs a newspaper anymore , when I go stall 2 I'm scrolling tRCMB! That should be their slogan
Right, like someone would ever be stupid enough to marry crazy ho Sparty.
If the internet has taught me anything, it's that there's always some dude ugly and desperate enough.
Maryland fans have to be up there.
Maryland has pretty good reason to be pessimistic though, no?
