As long as we can all OSU dirty 20 years later (meaning until 2030) that is fair.
Frankly, I say take your lumps and move along. I am unwilling to throw Urban into that pot of filth and call him a cheater until somebody shows it to be true. OSU screwed up, just as Michigan Basketball did...they owe it to admit it, and then move on.
I don't care.
I am sure if and when Ohio State hires a coach i respect then my opinion will change in time. Urban Meyer is not that guy.
ehhh, the 97 michigan team with woodson? Maybe football is just different for the ncaa haha
I agree with you completely. I guess it's all semantics, and people have a right to say ___ is dirty, or ____ is dirty. But personally I would never call Michigan dirty based on the actions of group of people. I'm not an apologist in the sense that I don't feel Tressel should have ever been invited back, and I did find it disgusting that he was celebrated. That to me IS dirty, but I don't see the whole university or football program as dirty.
thats kind of the point regarding the past page or so....you coach lost his job, and the timing coorelated with Urbies "health problems"....awesome chance circumestance to get an upgrade in coaching
You are dirty because the indiscretions that transpired are incomprehensible....your football players hanging out with drug dealing felons, and your coach covering it all up and playing ineligible players. The NCAA is a joke, your improprieties with Tressel were at the very minimum on the same level as USC and Reggie Bush, but look at the punishment. The punishment was a joke (although its even more of a joke on you because you should have played in the championship game this year, but you decided to cheat). Its a good thing your in bed with Emmerit through past associations...again this post just highlights the beneficial luck a dirty program like your recieves.....the slap on the writs probation, Urbie happened to have health problems when the vest was canned, PSU having the biggest scandal in history with a molester etc....again, go to hell Ohio....ok im drunk ive got to stop.
We fired the coach, what more you want? Tar and feathering???
Nice jab about missing out on the MNC but our schedule is weaker and our team will be stronger so we'll be there again. :-)
I'd watch Tressel get tarred and feathered on BTN.
Yes we have, thank you for noticing!
Agreed, Michigan has to win this year
the ncaa is a joke no doubt. TOSU has paid the price for a coach looking the other way get over it time to move on... but didnt michigan's football team get put on probation a short while ago? to much practice time and a cover up that covered two universities? competitive advantage although it didnt show on the field.
to be mad at ufm/tosu for recruiting with in the rules is just plain stupid....but we are on a michigan board and the blue glasses are free
Jesus balls, it's like no Bucknuts actually read the thread.
Nobody is mad at Urban/OSU for recruiting within the rules. People are ticked off because all the luck has seemingly fallen OSU's way recently, despite the program's recent dirty activities. Nobody is saying that OSU's recent luck and their dirty activities have any causal link, so nobody has on "blue glasses."
But by all means, ignore what we're actually saying and continue on with your anti-Michigan strawman rants.
you are correct my bad sometimes better to be lucky then good is what your saying? but i do think there are a few mad posters in this group.....what happened under tressel will not affect kids decision on playing for ufm.....two completely different things.....i think ufm is making our luck good if you ask me

Believe me, I'm a huge supporter of the idea that you make your own luck, and to an extent, OSU's luck recently has been a product of Urban Meyer and his staff getting into the conversation and being the #2 for so many kids. However, it's not like Brady Hoke isn't doing the same thing, we're just not seeing the same type of unpredictable upheaval happen at the #1 choices of the kids we're coming in #2 for.
Therefore, yes, it seems like in the case of a number of OSU targets recently, it's better to be lucky than good - they've been closed to OSU by default, not by anything Meyer did.
I've certainly been very impressed with Hoke's recruiting. I think the last two years OSU and Michigan have had comparable classes--the only real difference to me is that UM's focus has been more on the OL whereas OSU has had more of a DL focus, but otherwise I think they're pretty interchangeable. That should create some colossal UM OL/OSU DL battles in years to come. The quickness with which Hoke was able to bring UM back after the Rich Rod era says not only a lot about him, but a lot about the selling power of UM to recruits. I think UM and OSU are set up to be the two titans of the B1G for many years to come.

Tar and feathering would be a good start. Of course firing your AD and President for allowing the POS back on campus would be better. No punishment is good enough for the players who carried your cheating ex-coach around on their shoulders.
lets not forget ufm has 2 ntl titles to sell these kids on plus a few undefeated seasons including last year at tosu vs brady has michigan to sell other then that he really doesnt have the history an ufm has.....maybe in a few years he will i dont believe this is luck and i hope it continues....i do think brady will be a good coach at m and will every several years like carr or bo have great teams.."The Game" will even out some again but hope it doesnt lol
Urbz success at one school doesnt translate to all schools he coach's at, there have been coaches that have done great at some schools and not so great at others Ron Zook and Spurrier come to mind
Then there have been solid coaches get into good programs and have great success, I think this is where Hoke fits, then its about all the pieces around them as well, with Mattison coaching the D (He was with Urb at Fla during the good years) jury is still out on Al
Agreed with everything in this post. Once again, dukeluke solidifies his position as my favorite Bucknut who posts on the Michigan board.
Who is ufm?
Dumb nickname for Urban Meyer.
it's his initials..
Just cancelled their visits. Didn't really think they were that interested coming east.

Wilson is the guy that you could pick up...the Robinson brothers were never coming.
With only 3 or 4 schollies left, hoping for Bell, Wilson and a WR.
