Good for him!
Joe Rexrode @joerexrode
Burbridge makes it, so MSU has the full WR arsenal for camp. Least experienced position but most competition.
They're gonna be pretty young at WR but very skilled.
Hate to see MSU put a kid with that sort of talent on the field, but hate seeing a kid with that much talent not be able to use it much more.
Good for him. He won't be able to crack Michigan's secondary anyways.
Congrats to the kid.
Good for him. This was a great pick-up for MSU.

Congrats to the kid.
Blake Countess laughs at anyone MSU puts up against him.
But really, good for the kid. It's not as satisfying beating any team if they've got some sort of excuse for why they weren't at full strength.
LOL at congratulating a kid for qualifying for college. Aaron is either dumb or doesn't care about academics but I am sure all the academic tutors will keep him qualified at state. With what we went through with Tate I am glad that he isn't on our team.
Can Countess get aninterception before we laud him as a great shut down corner?Just saying...
Interceptions have nothing to do with being a shut down corner. PBUs and the amount of catches made on him compared to targets is what you have to look at.
A decent OSU QB would have exposed him...Don't get me wrong, I like the kid, but he's more Morgan Trent right now, than he is #2 jersey material
Hopefully, congratulating Burbridge won't become a habit.
You'd hope that they're spending more time getting him acclimated to school than they are to football.
He was a freshman. Pretty impressive IMO to come in and play like he did.
People are allowed to learn from mistakes.
wont argue that
He was also a freshmen. He'll be an All-American by his Jr year imo.
It's way too early to make a prediction like this.
Also, Burbridge is the most talented player to come out of this state in the past 5 years. Not offering him was a mistake.
I admit I was harsh on him.
I just think with as low as the academic standards are for student athletes at most universities it is hardly worth a congratulations to them for qualifying.
I loved countess from the first play on the field. You can see he has "it". He made a ton of mistakes out there, I mean a ton. But I saw something as a small freshman that I haven't seen out of any of our corners in a while. If he developed physically and mentally there is a chance he can be an all big ten corner. But as of right now he hasn't done much. But I like still like his chances.
The coaches made it clear they were not taking kids with academic issues. This kid was in very bad shape for a while. While you and I could argue whether or not we should or should not offer kids on the verge of ineligability, that is not the direction the coaches will go in.
I didn't see a ton of mistakes.
..and barely making it in to MSU in the 13th hr, i imagine would not be enough for Ann Arbor
I don't think so.
Including this year, Morris is projected higher everywhere.
Last year and the previous 4, Thomas and Arnett may have something to say about that from 2011. Gholston laughs at you as does Bullough from 2010. Baker went pro after three years from the 2009 class. Ingram, Mike Martin, and Keysawn Martin from the 2008 class were ok players also.
Burbridge was offered, Michigan wanted to make sure could qualify first, from what I remember.
