The intangibles, right? I understand what happened to Teo and it was tragic but to completely throw out the stats, seriously? Why didn't Mark Herzlich win the Heisman when he overcame cancer and came back to play football, I mean according to you it's about more than stats and on the field production. Herzlich and Teo are both great stories and great players but Heisman? Give me a break.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Then give me one legitimate reason why Te'o is all over ESPN and ESPN.com. Plastered all over Sports Illustrated, and people like Shaq and Eddie George are tweeting for him to be Heisman? Seriously I can't understand it either. It must be a big mystery
Gringo Mafia Sergeant at Arms - 5 time POTW
His traumatic ordeal, he plays at ND, he's a senior on the #1 ranked team, etc., because it's clearly not based on stats. Also, I wasn't aware Shaq had a clue about football, maybe we should ask him for his knowledge about baseball, golf and hockey too.
The Heisman Memorial Trophy annually recognizes the outstanding college football player whose performance best exhibits the pursuit of excellence with integrity. Winners epitomize great ability combined with diligence, perseverance, and hard work.
Where in the mission statement does it say ''Whoever has the best stats''
Welcome to idiot America...
Excellence, performance, great ability, you're right those characteristics don't lead to on the field production. Teo should win this year, hell, he should have won it last year too.
Your hate blinds you...so do your immature attraction to ''stats''.
Half of his "Heisman campaign video" is just a video of him talking LMAO, he doesn't even have enough key Heisman highlights for a 3 minute highlight video.
Again with the immature attraction to ''stats'' only. You are probably part of idiot America I speak of. Go turn on your Playstation.
How can you honestly look past the character of person he is. This seems to be all new to everyone. I've been seeing this for 4 years now. If he played for USC or Michigan he'd get my vote.
Change the name of this thread to TAMU vs ND for the Heisman?.
The immature boy who was arrested for underage drinking, disorderly conduct, and possession of fictitious drivers licenses (with no suspension from the team)...or the Man who leads his team (nation's top defense) on and off the field with integrity, spirituality, and love...the best player on the best team in the country. So who deserves the award? The Man or the Boy?
Now that's just a pathetic and childish image. It's one thing for ND to stick to arguments regarding Te'o's stats or his personal story, but when you start tearing down another candidate for off-field issues, that's just weak. Keep that shit off this board.
EDIT: Seriously, this is something I would expect from RCMB or Bucknuts. I thought Irish fans were supposed to be better than that.

Pathetic and childish? Kind of like how you totally RIPPED the ND program and Brian Kelly with the whole scissor lift tragedy? Who are you to throw stones?
EDIT: You say Irish fans are ''supposed to be better'' than that, and that is exactly one of the things you rip us for. Saying we think we're better than everyone. Then you use it against us?
Your post reeks of biased hate. It is consuming you like Darth Vader. You need to search your feelings.
I'm disappointed in irishimpact
First off, Brian Kelly and the ND program deserved to get torn a new one for ever allowing someone up in that scissor lift in those weather conditions. I can throw stones because Michigan's athletic department is smart enough to never put its employees and volunteers at risk of bodily harm like that.
Second, it's just embarrassing how far downhill you've gone as a poster.
How far downhill I've gone compared to what?
If you're disappointed in an imaginary person from the interwebz that you've never met and never will I feel sorry for you.
I'm disappointed in irishimpact
^This post proves my point^ Nice job, son.
What part don't you agree with?
You bring up scissor lift and what I'm bringing up is suddenly out of bounds and I'm a ''bad poster''?
That's called hate. Don't let it consume you.

They've got depth and talent all over the field from consistent top 3 recruiting classes, and Saban has always proved himself a master planner with 1+ month preparing for a team. Your right though, they are not invincible as they have been in prior seasons, and a perfect football game can keep it close and challenge them. Clearly A&M has improved throughout the season, and were much better later on in the season, given their new coach and young QB. If ND wins the turnover battle by 3+ it could be close to be honest. Also, If the Michigan D was able to check Braxton, no way Bamas does significantly worse.
Speaking of schedules if you guys aren't in NC game next year something went horribly wrong. Not playing Wisconsin or MSU and probably the weakest OOC schedule this side of the SEC and maybe not even that easy. I'll say the same about Bama missing UF, South Carolina, and UGA for the 3rd year in a row..I'd have no concerns playing OSU this year.
Coming from a 0-12 team that's funny. Was it as bad as the phantom PI on Miami in the NC game in 2002?
Coming from a 0-12 team that's funny. Was it as bad as the phantom PI on Miami in the NC game in 2002? Hopefully we have learned something from watching OSU choke on the biggest stage not 1, but 2..
