i believe that this is Hagerup's second suspension, so he might be gone also.
Mich Alum '92 & '94.
Yeah.. Wile can punt though. Not the end of the world. Agree it's a big thing for him personally, but as fas as impact on the team, there really isn't one.
It's definitely a big deal. Let's say that the mods just let false rumors persist on the board. One person reads it and shares it, then another, and another.
Pretty soon it's all over the place, and the kid is getting bombarded and harassed and has to answer a ton of questions over something that isn't even true.
It was all over the internet already!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Agree with that, he was first team all big ten though so that kind of stinks. We also have that punter who walked on last year who had an offer from Oregon state I believe, can't remember the kids name.
Alright , this is the last exchange I'm having with you.
Just because it was all over twitter doesn't mean this site needs to add to it.
You're pulling the old "But everybody else was doing it" bit a kid uses on his parents.
You can respond, but I wouldn't waste your time.
who are you talking about? brionte dunn?
Laying the law, laying the law....
Just speculating here but maybe this has something to do with Norfleet practicing at corner.
Unsubstantiated rumors on Twitter should be taken seriously? What about rumors started by Koobjoe, decommit rumors, etc? Where do you do draw the line? Give me a break, it's not like we waited weeks to let it be posted, it was a couple of hours until it was confirmed by a viable source. Rumors started on message boards tend to get back to the person the rumors are about, such as decommit rumors consistently floating back to our recruits and then they have to go out and announce again that they're committed 100%, etc. Did waiting a couple of hours for this news really ruin your day, this answer is no.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
I understand where you are coming from, but it was not a guy with no face behind a computer screen like koobjoe. it was coachbrown from Mblock. he has credibility. he wouldn't start up a rumor on purpose. it will ruin his reputation.
It is an example of how harmful regurgitating something that is "all over the internet" can be.
Except, he wasn't trying to start a rumor it was a question. I know he's somewhat credible but it was still an unconfirmed twitter rumor.
I never seen coachbrowns post, so I'm not sure what he said. I personally don't have a problem with the post being deleted. my point was that koobjoe and coacbrown are two totally different people when it comes to info

Seems simple to me...if you want unconfirmed rumors, check twitter
This isn't the place for it.
Too simple..... lol.
Wow, really didn't mean for this to turn into an argument, haha. Just thought it would be a thing worth talking about. I didn't belittle any student athlete, I didn't speculate as to what they did, and I didn't say it had definitely happened. Just posted an interesting topic for discussion on a message board.
I didn't say they were kicked off. The title of the post is "3 Players Suspended" and in my first comment it says dismissed from the team, meaning they are done practicing and will not travel with the team to the bowl game.
My head hurts.
The title of the post was "3 Players Kicked Off Team" until I changed it to what you see now.
I believe the high integrity and right approach is:
1) It's ok to speculate and discuss positive rumors. Eg. commitments, interest, offers, etc. That's why many of us are here.
2) It's not ok to speculate or discuss negative rumors. It's easy to start a rumor that is false and have it spin out of control and in the end someone could get hurt or a recruit is exposed to. We all have a insatiable thirst for information but there is no reason in these cases that we can't wait until a confirmed story. In this case that took 12 hours.
Ducks did the right thing. So did MGoBlog.
Also, my apologies to my friends on this board for this little bit of soap box voice of reason. Normally I'm just the (occasionally) funny fat man.
I am sure you don't need a Wisconsin fan to tell you this, but i will tell you any way. Brady Hoke is impressive. You can tell no matter how big the game is, the players behavior is going to be bigger. I would have to believe the players parents love him for keeping their kid in line. Congrats and good luck in the bowl game.
