The final 247 rankings are out. Morris lost his 5th star.
Michigan has the #5, 6, 7 and 17 guards in the nation. The #1 center and the #9 Tackle.
Michigan has verbals from the #1, 2, 4, 6, 7, 9, and 10 ranked kids in the state of Michigan
Morris dropped all the way below Mitch Trubisky. Really, 247? You give out 32 5-stars because you are projecting based on NFL potential, and you think MITCH TRUBISKY has more potential than Morris?
Every service dropped him, pretty much solely based on the UA game. No worries, just more for him to prove once he gets on campus.
At the end of the day, it's not really that big of a deal. How he performs at Michigan is all that matters. It's nice to brag about recruiting classes and highly rated kids, but Shane is still the same QB he was last week before his drop.
I don't remember their previous rankings because I don't follow it all that much but with Dymonte at 80 didn't he take a pretty significant drop? Could be wrong but wasn't he up near the 40's?
Interestingly, Trubisky is an Ohio guy that OSU passed over for Barrett (who is now ranked below Trubisky).
In the end, all that matters is how he does on the field. Morris seems to follow recruiting a lot so hopefully the drop will simply serve to put a chip on his shoulder. I'm sure he'll be fine.
65. OG David Dawson (commit)
80. S Dymonte Thomas (commit) - down 12 spots

103. OG Kyle Bosch (commit) - down 26 spots
108. DE Taco Charlton (commit) - down 13 spots
120. DT Henry Poggi (commit) - no change
129. OT Logan Tuley-Tillman (commit) - moved down 20 spots

So Kugler dominated and ends up dropping 34 spots?!?!?!
The fact that Derrick Green is still not in the top 50 is pretty absurd. Alex Anzalone is a 5-star, FFS. I doubt there's a program in the country that'd rather have Anzalone than Green.
Most of those are relatively insignificant drops, and probably a result of other guys moving up.
LTT up, but Kuglar and Dawson down? I am confused...
Nope, sorry, I was looking at the wrong numbers for the movement.
Lewis is still a 90?
247's rankings are more schizophrenic than ESPN's. This place has the best message boards, but Rivals and even Scout do recruiting better.
It boggles my mind why folks get so caught up in rankings. If you think the rankings are flawed to begin with how can you complain about player x not being high but take solace when player y is ranked high?
If you think rankings are interesting cool, by all means follow them. But don't sit here and complain because most folks talk out two ends of their mouth.

Good point. A four-star with a 95 overall grade is still a damn good prospect and we think has the ability to play right away at the next level. No need to be worried as a Michigan fan. I have no doubt Shane will look at it as a motive to work harder.
I would have to agree with you. Love this message board.
Derrick Green jumped 57 spots I believe he was previously 141.
I wouldn't use the word dominated for Kuglers performance more "very solid".
Ok..."very solid" and voted best Center by the 247 staff constitutes for a 30+ spot drop...got it!
He actually went up like 60 spots, making this condescending comment to a staff member who knows way more on the topic than you pretty dumb.
Maybe we can revisit the camp thread? Kugler and Dawson continuing to get praise from the OL coaches? Kugler continuing to impress in the 1v1's? Now you report he was "very solid", and still he was dropped in the rankings. After reading the updates from the all-star camps I fully expected Morris to lose his fifth star, but when you guys give praise to the recruits on how well they look why do they end up getting dropped?
People having a hard time scrolling up today.
Never said he was dominating people in those U-A camp threads. "Very solid" definitely not a bad thing thing though lol
Sorry, my bad Clint
If he went up 60 spots then Ducksworth was wrong and Clint could have refuted my statement. I don't know what Kuglers previous was...I was just going by what a board Mod posted.
