Reports are that he might be the fastest kid on the team as a soph.
Whether it's Weber or Campbell, saying Hoke needs to get an offer out to a 2015 kid is more than a little premature. And borderline absurd in Campbell's case, actually.
I was talking about Jayru Campbell.
And no, I don't go to Cass. I'm a little old to be in high school.
I know parents of players though and a lot of the players. I'm at most of their games so I'm a familiar face. I do a little work for a website that covers Detroit High School football and do some filming.

Yost is always watching over
It would be absurd considering we haven't offered any QBs for the 2014 class.
I assumed he was talking about campbell because he's the only one mentioned in that post
Agreed. The fact that any teams are actually verbally offering 2015 and 2016 kids right now is just ridiculous.
It actually really peeves me that teams use the "verbal offer" the way they do. Half the time it's meant as a hook rather than an actual offer, especially with these younger kids.
That was actually one benefit of sending written offers out earlier. Teams couldn't just verbally offer and claim it's a legitimate one. If they verbally offer and don't send a written offer, then the kid knows where he stands. Now with a verbal offer - it may be legit, it may not be. But kids will always consider them legit.
sold......sign him up
visiting for the MSU game
See he is having another great game.
Jamie Newberg @JamieNewberg
Make that 5 TDs for Damien Harris. Just scooted around the sidelines for 29 yd TD. Kid is big & fast. Ran 4.47 @ #Kentucky camp this summer

Looks like we lead for him. Given the quotes I have seen from him, I wouldn't be surprised if he was the first '15 commit.
Damian said he always dreamed of playing for Michigan. It seems we now officially lead. This kid could be the best running back nationally in last 5 years.

It's a long way to go, but that's pretty awesome. Love hearing about talent that's high on Michigan.
Better than Johnathan Gray from 2012?? Where's my "not sure if serious" picture..
agreed way too premature to say something like that. Glad to hear we have the early edge, kid looks amazing.
Great news....can you provide any quotes, or a link to suggest this? Even if hes not the "best RB nationally in the last 5 years," I'm quite ok with him being the 2nd best, or even top 10 in that category

Sam Webb @SamWebb77
Sophomore sensation Damien Harris (RB from Berea, Kentucky) has always dreamed of playing for #Michigan. Has offer ($) http://michigan.scout.com/2/1216975.html#.UEJBH7vyinA.twitter …
This is Michigan, fergodsakes.
This kid will be a stud. Plays on the same team as Foster.
Freshman- 5'11 175- CB
Mason Cole's and Artavious Scott's teammate: George Campbell. He's a 6'5" WR/S.

Wow. Yes, please. Him and Jaron Dukes in goal-line sets...
Here's another vid of George Campbell.
It would be amazing if we could get the trio of Cole/Scott/Campbell.
We are currently the leader for Mason Cole.
Artavious Scott is in the mold of Santana Moss - smaller wide receiver that's so difficult to cover.
And once Campbell fills out, he could be Calvin Johnson-lite.
East Lake 2015 ATH
This kid could very well be the #1 recruit for 2015....to me looks slightly more agile and quicker then DGB, and hes only a sophomore....WOW
That's a new name. He's an in-state RB that plays for Detroit Southwestern High.
Steve Wiltfong made a thread about him 7 months back.
2016 SF Josh Jackson
Out of Detroit, #2 ranked 8th grader (for good reason)
Josh Jackson is ranked #2 in the country amongst 8th graders by DunkDog.com and he has impressed many scouts playing up several age groups throughout the Spring. Jackson has played for All Ohio and The Family in several different events and competed favorably against older competition. This footage is from the 2012 NY2LA Sports Spring Warm Up.
