Oh forgot, sorry.
Any interest in David Ryslik, looks like he will be one of the better 2014 players
Top Qb on Michigan's list for 2015 I've been told. Kyle Kearns
Well.. this was posted about a year ago, before O'Connor re-classified.
I think Michigan is definitely looking at the state of California first for a QB in 2015.
Very nice Soph film..Probably needs to work on progressions a bit but fit the ball in some really tight spaces.

Can we have Steve confirm?
Heavy talk about Michael O'Connor re-classifying again BACK to the 2015 class. That'd be interesting...
There's more to being a good QB than just arm strength. This kid seems to be all over the place. 2 or 3 schools in the last three years, reclassifying multiple times...those seem like red flags to me...
I'm happy Michigan found their 2014 QB. And in 2015 I hope they can find another good one, though I hope it is not O'Connor if he is in fact back in that class.
Steve, who is M chasing for 2015?

I think you're being a big unfair to the kid. He moved down to Tennessee from Canada to play at a higher level. He then got an opportunity to attend IMG academy and get a higher level of training. My guess is that he feels like he has a ways to go to catch up to his classmates because he played in Canada his entire life and IMG gives him the chance to do just that.
As for re-classifying, maybe he originally switched to 2014 because he saw some opportunities and then switched back when he realized he wasn't quite ready yet and needed an extra year to get ready for the college game. I'm not saying he's the best QB in the nation, but if the coaches think he's worthy of a scholarship after this season, I won't have any problem welcoming him into the class.
Heavy talk by who?
Is this Kyle himself?
Is QB8 also Kyle?
I posted a VIP thread on about 40 kids who have gotten questionnaires, but ones to note for the time being:
Kevin Dillman (La Mirada, CA/La Mirada)
Kyle Kearns (Foothill, CA/Foothill)
Josh Rosen (Bellflower, CA)
Ricky Town (Ventura, CA/St. Bonaventure)
Alex Malzone (Birmingham Brother Rice)
Jayru Campbell (Cass Tech)
Jake Johnson (DeWitt, MI/DeWitt)
Zach Gentry (Albuquerque, NM/Eldorado)
Very interesting. I'm all for pursuing the kid - I was hoping he'd be a target in 2015 when we first heard about him, and clearly the coaches like him, since they told Wilton they were going to extend an offer to O'Connor as well if Wilton hadn't accepted on the spot.
I agree with this - you really can't hold it against the kid if he's trying to play better competition and get better in general. (It's not like he pulled a Mike Mitchell and left a competitive school to go beef up his numbers against considerably worse competition).
I don't entirely know how re-classifying works, but it happens so rarely in football that I can't blame the kid if he wants to go back to his original class year so he can hone his skills a bit more before entering the college game. If he goes back to 2015, I hope we pursue him. If he was good enough for us in 2014, he'll definitely be good enough for us in 2015.
Isn't what O'Connor doing (allegedly) what Speight did, and what McGary did? Its all about development for these young kids. If they can develop even more before attending/starting college, that bodes well for them and the program. They inherently have more potential and ability to contribute, especially when you factor them having a RS year. The potential for them to be super productive in their 3rd-5th years increases.
No. O Connor was originally a '15 kid, so it's not like he's taking an extra year.
Apparently, Buford visited MSU today.
