Damn, he carries that weight really well for being 295 pounds. He looks like he's got the frame to get up to 330, at least.
Supposedly, Denzel Ward tweeted this a while ago:
Denzel Ward @Diezel75_ Fun fact: The last time Michigan State beat a non-Rich Rodriguez coached team in Ann Arbor, Denard Robinson was 22 days old.

And here's a photo of him shirtless that he posted on his twitter account: http://pic.twitter.com/RBexebSA
Wow. Holy balls, this kid could be absolutely monstrous. I predict he'll be around 305-310 his senior year of HS, and then get him into Michigan's S&C, and we could probably have him up to 325-330 by the time he sees the field. Wow.
agreed, 295 and he looks skinny! could easily add 30+ lbs of muscle to his frame without making him too bulky. I see why this kid got an early offer from the coaches seeing him in camp.
According to a poster on mgoblog, Sam Webb said on the radio today that there will be a committment this weekend. One has to think it will be Denzel Ward.
Or Green. Usually when you see Webb write a big article on a kid he thinks UM has a good shot.
A number of high-profile prospects are expected to be in stands Saturday, none bigger than Richmond (Va.) Hermitage star Derrick Green, ranked the No. 2 running back in the country and the No. 16 player overall.
That would be outstanding. Beat them damn green Sparties and then have Green commit to Michigan.
Even though there is no film on him, I'm really excited about Denzel based on his monstrous 6'9 295 frame, and that he already has attention from the likes of USC, Mich, and other elite programs is outstanding. His potential must be absolutely through the roof.
Green said he is taking all his visits. I still believe he is a NSD decision. Probably Ward ... but could be ...:
1. Mason C.??? He has us #1 and continues to tweet/say how impressed he is with UM.
2. Latest 2013 4-* recruit coming for a visit this weekend (aka potential OL replacement for DD)?

I agree. Not to mention that the coaching staff really seems to know what they are doing when it comes to offensive lineman so if they like Ward enough to offer this early then i am on board.
Some insiders think that if green was going to commit, he would have already.
Agreed. If he makes it through Thanksgiving and no decision .... he-will-go-all-the-way.
Especially with us being in such good position with a bunch of OL prospects already for '14, where we could easily fill that position for the class, they offer Ward which means the coaches feel he is in that echelon of talent the coaches were already looking for in '14.
If anyone wants to hear sam webb's radio show. you can listen to it at this link. he talks recruiting everyday in the recruiting roundup segment.

I think the coaches are thinking that they're finally in a position to take someone who may not be as polished, but who has an upside like you wouldn't believe. If Ward keeps developing...wow.
I dont think most of these kids are polished....they still have an extreme amount of work to undergo once they enter college. And in my opinion, it really doesnt matter that much what everyone learns in high school because it will be about the same level across the board (generally speaking).....and that learning curve or gap is greatly diminished once everyone gets to college, and not to mention especially if someone redshirts, then it takes them an additional 2 years to see the field. What they learn in college over that time period supersedes and trumps anything that was learned way back in high school (allthough it forms more of an initial foundation). With Ward, does he have the athleticism and physical traits to develop over the next 3-4 years? That is the question. The coaches want to mold someone into their prototype.
Mason Cole @MasonCole52
this weather feels so good
Mason Cole @MasonCole52
nothing can ruin this day!
I have felt M. Cole could drop for a couple of months now. Today the day??? Probably not. But ... IMHO he goes Blue by Feb-2013.

Denzel Ward @Diezel75_
Me and @LoganTillman in town now, the boys are back out. Watch Out. #GOBLUE
our 2014 class will be better than the 2013 if thats possible. Gonna have some studs coming in very soon

t does look like it could shape up that way. We really need to make a push for some elite playmakers in the 14 class. Looks like our OL and LB classes are gona be loaded every year for the forseeable future. We look to be in very good shape to win the B1G championship this year and they would be a nice boost and could really give us some momentum going into the next recruiting cycle.
