How good is he? I'm not in favor of getting a kid on board who is not as good as our other options but if he's as good as Jamarco Jones and Mason Cole then I'm in favor of it.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
No clue since he doesn't have any film out yet, but if UM offers with a 4 game highlight reel he must be doing something right.
Yea, I have no idea how good he is. His height scares me, I know that.
We were after Zach Banner hard last year and he about same height.
Taylor Lewan is 6'8'' BTW.
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
Obviously pretty good if the coaches offer him, especially since he's only played 4 (it's either 3 or 4) games of organized football.
6'9 according to some sites
The coaches probably see a lot of potential in him; his game is definitely unrefined considering he only just started playing and is a junior in high school. I'm fine with the offer because one, the coaches are better talent evaluators than any of us, and two, I trust in them to shape him into a solid football player. So yes, Denzel Ward, commit anytime you want to.
He's 6'9" as a Junior in HS, Gotta imagine he's still growing?
It is trending in that direction.
The doctors don't expect him to grow anymore, he is the same height as his father is.
No need to downvote me. I'm just asking a question. In fact I never even said he was a bad player.
I upvoted you.
Wasn't last year Ward's first time playing football?
This year is his first if I remember correctly.
I believe this is his first year. He has been completely focused on basketball before.
Is he going to get the Michigan commit ranking bump right after he commits?
He spent a week in Ohio camping and didn't receive an offer, and Wisconsin got him to camp with no offer?
We are trending quite a bit above average with our O-line recruiting, maybe he is a late bloomer/coaching project.
He definitely has the frame to build on.
I don't mind it, the coaches have brought in alot of OL talent so they can afford to take on a project with high upside.
If the reports are correct that this is his first season of football, then he camped at Ohio and Wisconsin never having played a down of football before....which would make it less likely to get an immediate offer at that point in time.
You can't teach 6'9" 290+ with good athleticism.
He played in 3 varsity games last year, so technically this will be his 2nd year of football.
you certainly can't!
Mason Cole @MasonCole52
cant wait to see the big house again this weekend with @ArtavisScott7
I really like the film on both of these guys. Landing both in the 14 class would be awesome.
