I would guess that you're right. Morris is a kid they obviously spotted a mile away. But there's a lot of good 2014 QB's. PSU is doing something similar - basically, waiting until their junior years play out to put them into tiers and see who their top targets are.
Saw where Tremendous was saying Kizer hasn't been hearing much from the coaches which I hope is just due to thw current season. But he also goes on to say that a majority of the recruits that are trying ti get in contact with the coaches can't for some reason? Just find it odd that we would be shunning certain players at this point
where you see that? Just saw that Kizer is supposed to visit for the Illinois game this weekend.
Derek Young @Derek11W
2014 RB Jalen Hurd tells me he has a top 3 of #OhioState #Florida #Bama in order. B
Really hope this guy doesn't end up Scarlet & Gray..
Bama fans seem very confident about Jalen Hurd despite what he has said.
I think they expect Saban to do what he did with Derrick Henry - offer the player an opportunity to compete for the starting running back position.

It's one of those situations where it isn't worth worrying about until he signs the LOI to OSU. It's still extremely early for an elite kid. Wasn't Robert Foster an OSU lock ~10 months ago? I think the rumor was that he was going to commit to them during a junior day in February.
According to those clowns EVERYONE wants to be a Buckeye and is a lock. Kalis, Strobel, Wormley, Richardson, and Pipkens are all going to transfer while Dymonte and Deveon will switch on signing day.
so much good QBs in 2014 with interest in michigan. I hope they wait till the high school season is done in november to see who is truly the best before they give out offers.
I remember that. they claimed foster is a lock and now claim that meyer cooled on him. who "cools" on the best wr in the country.
I already assumed Ohio would be his current #1. Bama was his #1, but the depth and competition with all their RB's is crazy....so naturally Ohio would become #1. The question is who could possibly jump Ohio? Bama has Yeldon, Henry and Scarbrough already on the depth chart (and I'm probably missing a few people), and to expect anyone else who's elite in addition to Scarbrough to jump on board for '14 would be difficult

How many highly ranked RB's have went into Urban's system?
How many have found success?
slight OT, have any of these 3 burned their red shirt yet?
I think Richardson is the only one.
Richardson played against UMass in garbage time, so his RS has been burned. They probably burned it when Countess went down. I think the other 2 are still RS though.
IMO I think hoke screwed up by burning is redshirt, same with Royce and Sione (spell check me please). RR was terrible about it and much worse but I wish we could have redshirted these guys.
Agreed, burning Royce's redshirt on special teams was pointless
Both Royce and Richardson burnt their RS on special teams which makes no sense to me. I realize that Richardson made a big stink about having to play his freshman year, but still.
I think you can somewhat justify burning Richardsons due to the subpar secondary play the first two games
Pointless may be strong, I too would have preferred to have Royce to be redshirted but I just say this. Special teams play is probably one of the most critical aspects of a successful team. If Hoke didn't think he had the players that could succeed on the KO and Punt cvg teams and RJS was one of those who could, I say play him. If you are concerned that RJS will blossum and thus we would only have 3 yrs of his services after 2012 instead of 4, then I say this as well....If he does blossum and perform and becomes a star then whose to say he would even stay and not opt for the draft as a RS SO or Jr, thus we still wouldn't have him for 4 yrs? There is a lot of what ifs, and coaches say the best 11 play, so it is what it is.
Richardson also has played on defense.
i totally understand and agree that the best 11 should play. It's just sad that we don't have someone else who is not a true freshmen that is better or equal to him on kickoff. This wont be happening in two or three years once we are able to built QUALITY depth across the board.
completely agree. I think RJS will be a star, i say better off getting him on the field involved in the game in some facet that allows him to just use his athletic ability. He'll bulk up over the winter and spring and may get signifant action next yr backing up bolden or Ryan. Then risk him getting down because he isn't playing. Its like feeding a lion a bone vs letting him starve....at least with a bone he can taste it and have him hungry for more...starving leaves you questioning your existence and wanting to make drastic changes (like transferring).
Haha awesome analogy about them lions
