I think Garrett is a very real possibility. He likes Michigan a lot and has them in his top 3 with Ohio St. and Michigan St. and they have both offered already. He told me on Monday that he really wants a Michigan offer. That sounds pretty promising. Michigan has done very well in Illinois and he will be working out at Core6 with a couple of other guys who are feeling Michigan too.
I could see Drake being a 4 star prospect. What about Davonte James from Springfield Ohio? 247 has him highly ranked, he looks very athletic in his highlights. Is Michigan recruiting him?
Aren't there academic questions that are holding Michigan back from offering at this point?
Of course a 4/5 star LB would be welcomed, but I don't see another one in the cards. It seems like Dante Booker is OSU bound and I just think it's........odd that the staff hasn't offered Garret yet. Other than those two, I can't think of any LBs that would be better options than Deon Drake, who could very well be a solid 4* in his own right.
I have not heard that. I'm not sure that is something I should ask? Don't want to insult the kid.
Oh definitely not, that's just a con of talking to the kids instead of sources near them. You'll never get the negative news.
Not really, it's weird he's a very highly rated prospect, but no one seems very interested in him. He told me a few weeks ago that Ohio State and ND were his top two just because they were the only schools that actually showed interest in him.
good lookin prospect, the coaches may well be able to fill CB instate
me too, love those big LB's
Raekwon McMillan, D. Booker or C. Garrett.....bucknuts think that these 3 kids are all locks, and are infinitely better then Ferns because they are ranked slightly higher by 247.....would love to fill our last LB spot with one of these kids
I'd take Joseph Henderson and Deon Drake. Henderson has the frame to possibly grow into a WDE, and Drake is a good looking prospect at WILL.
Heard that from a legit poster on my board too. That was before we offered so I think his transcripts checked out. Could have swore his top 3 consisted of OSU, MSU, and us. I still say it's going to be very hard to keep him away from OSU. Kid has formed a very close bond with Booker and McMillan(SP). Congrats on Ferns, I'm jelly..

He is a 94 ranking right now. But 247 has him highest of anyone I believe.
That is not correct coach. It's osu, notre dame and msu. His ties to osu are deep and he really really loves msu. We have a ton of ground to make up.
Other sites don't have a 2014 ranking yet.
Garret is a to OSU.

That's what I thought, I looked at scout and saw they didn't
Hey I sent treiu's eval on ferns. It's pretty good, leads me to believe he will end up a high four.
Malik will make the rounds .... Michigan was his favorite ... MSU .... OSU .... ND .... Let him be. If he stays local, Michigan will be in it with ND .... if USC or LSU comes calling (which I bet they will at some point), then the dynamics change IMO.
well a recent article had a team mate of his interviewed and he said he kinda wants to go to msu and stay out of the limelite.

Could be. He also had Michigan and OSU as childhood favorites. I am not concerned with his recruitment. Honestly, I believe neither Michigan nor Michigan State get Malik. I think he heads out of state.
I disagree. If he leaves the state it will be for a school like lsu or usc, yet that would counter the point of him wanting to avoid the bright lights. I am confident he'll be in this class. 60/70%
