"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
I just watched The Maurice Ways highlight tape again and I think he is going to be an excellent WR. He kind of reminds me of Marquise Walker. Big, Physical, Not Overly Fast but somehow gets behind DBs.
I would like to see him run some more route than just a fade, haha. Also, Tyler Wiegert throws a nice deep ball. He is a solid get for Rutgers.
i think Ways is a very plain wide reciever...i think he will be a good possession reciever and will be able to move the sticks, i think he is a very high 3 star to low 4 star type of player, but he loves Michigan, so that makes him even better in my eyes
I keep watching tbe tape and I see speed. I have no idea why everyone keeps saying he isn't fast, except that his evaluation says he needs to work on speed....to which none of tbe evaluators have seen him in person.
I agree. He doesn't have blazing speed but he looks pretty damn fast. Aside from consistently pulling away from the DB's, you can just see in his strides that he's moving quickly. For being a tall 6'3" WR he moves very well.
Yeah but almost 3 weeks in advance and right after you just picked the recruit to go to a different school?
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
Exactly. Dudes stride is pretty good in my opinion.
What is this about?
I can tell you this...he is no slower than Darboh and I'm impressed with Darboh as is.
Kurelic wrote a commitment article that is currently unpublished on WR Demar Kitt. A kid who he just recently admitted will go to Clemson and a kid who doesn't decide for another 2 and a half weeks.
Oh. Well, makes sense...if Kitt chooses OSU, which looked like the case only a short time ago, then he can publish it.
Yeah but Kurelic just made his crystal ball prediction for Clemson...
Oh. Well, that's funny. I don't think Kitt's recruitment will be over though when he commits to Clemson
Here is how I see us with Ways. His speed is good enough. His hands, route running, blocking will only improve. What he adds is a mismatch anywhere on the field. With all of the other tall fast receivers and TE 's there will be a mismatch to exploit somewhere.
i dont think he is slow by any means, he certainly doesnt have blazing speed either. when i say plain im mostly talking about his skills with the ball in his hands. he makes the catches but then just runs straight after he gets the ball for the most part, i dont see him really look for cutbacks or anything. this sometimes can be good when u just wanna go north and south without going east and west, but he doesnt seem to have very much elusiveness in his game, thats why i think he will be a good possession reciever
Loved me some Marquise Walker.
Same here Kyle. Ways looks like he has plenty of speed. What he lacks is that quickness to make him elusive.
If I remember correctly Braylon Edwards wasn't exactly elusive and I wouldn't exactly say he was a possession receiver at Michigan.
that is fair to say...but i mean come on, Braylon is on another level, I think Ways will be good and will actually play meaningful snaps at Michigan, but he is not gunna be Braylon Edwards

How can you possibly say that? Braylon wasn't some sure fire 5* recruit coming out of high school if i remember correctly. For all we know Ways could end up being better than Harris.
