interesting. i follow bucknuts closely and ive never so much as heard of the kid, but you would have to believe that a family source would be a more accurate source of info
Moe on his visit "Man, it was really great".
Article will be up in about half an hour.
So is Bars visiting OSU or not? Bucknuts has an article saying he will be visiting.
Yes he is. I was given incorrect information on that one. Apologies guys.
There are quite a few kids this year that are really good players that just might not get offers because of class size. I wouldn't say i am frustrated by them not getting offers but man I hate when we have to take a small class.
Considering Prop 8 states that only marriage between a man and a woman is valid or recognized in California, and taking into account Awink's predilection for disparaging the President, I believe Awink would've most likely voted in favor of that particular ballot proposition.
Same. All things considered though, this is a good year to have to take a small class. We absolutely loaded up last year, we don't really have depth problems anywhere, and we've got some absolutely elite targets that we can focus on. On top of that, we're not going to be taking many players out of Ohio, so we can't beef our class up that way. As much as I'd love to take all the players we like regardless of scholarship limitations, we're not Bama.

HaHa. I guess our Mods say politics are ok on the board.
Open the floodgates fellas.

Not necessarily a bad thing. I feel really good about where Michigan stands with him.
Here's hoping that feeling bears out. Bars would be an absolutely incredible addition to this class.

Hoping Michigan gets this W on Sunday so when I get to AA it's rocking!!
I think the coaches would rather have Drake Harris, Artavis Scott etc.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
I'm sure, but there's a trade off: Does Ways start to warm up to other programs while Michigan is courting national recruits?
The staff has done a fantastic job with Scott, but he is going to be a tough pull no matter what.
You take the gamble .... Michigan is sitting well with our top targets.

Maybe he's not as tough of a pull as was originally thought.
Who is the better prospect through...Moe Ways or Derek Kief? They are both comparable (maybe not athletically, but the type of talent and prospect they offer for someone) and is there really a reason one was offered (or could be offered/close to an offer) over the other? We should offer Kief right now, because he would not commit any time soon. He is smittened by his recent visit to Bama, and Ohio is high on his board also. Those 2 teams along with Michigan would be a lot to process for him to commit any time soon, especially to Michigan

I really don't think there's any rush for us to offer any additional WRs right now. Call me overly optimistic, but I think we fill our WR quota with prospects currently holding offers. Our list of offered WRs:
Drake Harris - hella visits, we're the presumed leader
Artavis Scott - two visits, another one scheduled, his teammate is committed
Corey Holmes - camped last summer, grew up a fan, names us as one of 3 teams recruiting him hardest
KJ Williams - visit scheduled, talks very highly of us
Mark Andrews - visit scheduled
Dionte Sykes - named us to his top group
Saeed Blacknall - speaks very highly of us, insists he will visit
Christian McCaffrey - speaks highly of us, says he will visit
and then there's Juwann Winfree, Josh Malone, Malachi Dupre, and Demarre Kitt too. I think we pull 2-3 WR out of that group, and if not, Ways and Kief are far from our only backup options. No rush to put more offers out yet.
Btw, have all the Michigan recruiting reporters conspired to not give us Alex Bars or Malik McDowell visit reactions this weekend while we're all focused on basketball, or is there some other reason I haven't seen any? As always, there's a strong possibility that they were posted and I'm just a dolt.
McDowell ended up not attending practice on Friday and Alex did end up visiting Ohio State yesterday and I believe may have spent the night. Not sure what will be produced on Easter either.
