Haha yea it was about him. I never got what the big deal was with him, but I'm not a member of Scout so that might be why.
Real Life Wednesday is a follow up from Tattoo Tuesday
Actually, Michigan has a couple that are very good. TomVH (formerly of MGoBlog, now of ESPN) is one of the best insiders in the business. Steve Lorenz (formerly of Tremendous, now here) is also very good. I thought he was a bit too optimistic on Michigan's chances on most prospects early on, but he improved mightily at his own site and has continued to be realistic while bringing good information here.
Sam Webb is also extremely good. One of the best in the entire recruiting industry; he has his own talk show, gets a lot of studio time with recruits, and is very well-connected inside the program.
Unfortunately his partner Tom Beaver is one of the worst.
Steve Wiltfong just posted this about Jabrill Peppers:
"We've reported here that Jabrill Peppers has had a top two for the longest in Stanford and Ohio State. Michigan is a school that I think will make a major move here after he visits. Besides those three, Peppers has named several other programs he's had interested in, but for now my money is on one of those three and I think the Wolverines are in a spot to grab some serious momentum following his visit and with him growing up a fan. It should also be mentioned that Stanford and Ohio State have done a phenomenal job recruiting Peppers to this point."
Stanford, Michigan, Ohio State ... hmmmm, which one doesn't belong?
Stanford. They aren't in the B1G.
That was pretty funny
A couple recruiting questions for Steve:
1. Do you know how many linebackers that the coaches are planning on taking in this class? I've read where recruits have said they've been told that we're only taking two but have also heard that we may take three, especially if Ferns continues to grow (pushing 240 lbs already).
2. Any word on whether or not Chase Winovich is close to receiving an offer? I know that he raved about his visit a few weeks ago. With some new offers going out to linebackers in the last couple of weeks, I'm wondering if he could be next? I love his highlight video

I don't think Ferns is actually 240. If he is, good, but most of these weights tend to be overestimated.
I saw from a few different sources that he is a legitimate 235, and that was when he committed. He might not be 240, but he's in the ballpark. He will be a large, large man by the time he's starting at Michigan.

Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
I meant will Ferns play sam.
Don't they want him for MIKE? Demens was around 240 at that position and he was only 6'1" so it's not out of the question Ferns could play at 250 as long as he keeps his speed.
Very encouraging. Michigan should at least be tied at #1 with Stanford, with OSU a distant 3rd after his visit.

You're right - completely forgot about Sam.
Ehhhhhh ... Sorry, that's not the answer we were looking for.

Not that long ago, he called Ohio State his leader and said Clemson was a very close second. But after Sunday's camp, McMillan said he no longer has a leader and is in the process of assessing things.
Stanford also isn't as strong as the other two academic-wise.
I just read an article on Peppers and how bad the area is that he came from and some of the stuff that he has had to over come in his life. He talks about how he has gotten away with doing a lot of illegal stuff cuz of his athleticism and says he is not proud of it and has made great strides to change...idk if going to OSU would help him to continue making strides... Columbus or Ann Arbor?
I read that Espn article as well. Frankly, he sounds like he doesn't belong in Columbus.
I've maintained for a long time that McMillan will be a hard pull - elite LBs from Georgia don't just leave the south easily. He's far from the lock many OSU fans seem to think he is.
