Haha. No, I tried to root for UM, but I couldn't do it.
When people say Michigan is going to "run, run, run" it's meant in the way of a pro-style
offense. Even in the past Michigan has run just out of the spread option. Now they will run out of a pro-style offense which will set up the play action vertical passing attack. Typically a pro style offense is a 60% run to 40% pass ratio. Still very friendly for wideouts like Drake Harris, Corey Holmes, KJ Williams, Mark Andrew and even Artavis Scott (who is also so dangerous underneath as well).
They both were solid producers for Florida (although Tebow force fed Riley Cooper the ball...roommates). However when you think of elite wide receivers you don't think of Louis Murphy or Riley Cooper....both fringe NFL players and middle round draft picks. So for this reason I do think there is a perception that Meyers offense is not conducive for X receivers. The only "elite" receiver that people think of under Meyer is Percy Harvin.
However, I do agree that Braxton Miller just hurts the chances more.
Which was also matched With Steven Threat at U of M with RR, haha
Edit: Damn! I didn't see that someone beat me to this punch

Alabama recently offered Derek Kief.
He's scheduled to visit Tuscaloosa today.

He had the visit on Friday, Rivals has a visit reaction up. Also, relatively content-free tweet:

Just had a great visit at Alabama! Had a really good time.#RollTide
Have we been recruiting Derek Kief at all? I haven't heard anything.
There are a few other solid 4 star receivers from the Midwest I thought our coaches would be interested in. Does anyone know are we recruiting Darean Watkins, Thaddeus Snodgrass and/or Dominique Booth?

I don't think we're recruiting any of those guys very hard, if at all. Only possible one might be Booth but there are guys who seem to be higher on the coaches' list.
Michigan stopped in on Kief shortly before his Ohio State offer but he hasn't heard from them since then. Michigan would have been right there in the mix with an offer as well.
Steve .... Did you ever find out what the Mason call to the coaching staff was about? Seems many people got excited. Was this a false alarm or a prelude to a future commit event?

Steve, are the coaches still talking with Dominique Booth? I know at one point he was one of the higher rated players that the coaches hadn't offered but were keeping on the line as a plan B.
Pretty much what it is right now as far as I can tell.
IDK. Probably this is just me or maybe steve feels the similar but i couldnt ask him what their phone call was about. Even if asked I think cole would likely answer, asking someone about what they spoke about over the phone is intrusive and just isn't polite lol. Just me.
Steve W posted something about Braden Smith over at A&M site guessing they lead
Agreed. Never hurts to ask. Worst is a 'no comment' or 'your a nut'. :)
It's mostly an article updating how all the of his recent visits have been going and who else he is looking at. Suffice it to say, while UM clearly is still in the mix, we probably aren't his leader as of right now.

Watkins wants to make a decision this spring and eliminated us because we wanted him to camp for an offer.
I don't believe we've recruited Snodgrass at all recently.
None of them have offers.

Posted a 108.84 SPARQ with a bad shuttle I'll take that haha
It's too bad he's probably going to stay close to home.
yeh, we'll have to see what happens with that. Hopefully he'll change his mind again.
I hope not. If he changes his mind and decides to play in the midwest, it is likely at ND. I hope he plays close to home and toils in obscurity at UNC.
If he does I believe it will be for Notre Dame, so maybe we should hope he stays in the Carolinas.
Haven't heard much about Alex bars lately. Anyone have any info?
I think he had a good visit to Tennessee recently-ish
