I'll go with the obvious. Charles Woodson
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
Disagree, he helped us win a MNC but we were not in need of turning around
Charles Woodson did not turn the Michigan program around.
Agreed he helped get us over the top.
I thought by his comment he meant that QBs were the only ones capable of taking a team to elite level, and if you put Woodson on most teams in the FBS they would have immediately been in the top 10.

I said bring them to the next level, like if Michigan were to land him, he could bring them to a NT.
Looks like Malone is on campus today, great news.

Hearing that Gallatin, TN WR Josh Malone and Chicago, IL OL Jamarco Jones have made it to #Michigan for their visits

Although Michigan is in great shape with Hendren, he isnt planning on visiting Michigan until next summer and won't commit without visiting. I've seen some people throw out that he will commit once he's offered, but that is not true.
James is a great kid though, I love talking to him because he knows his stuff about recruiting and he's very bright.
I think we all need to relax on 2014 recruits. While Michigan is in great shape with many, many elite kids ... they are still only going to be juniors this fall. I suspect we see the same pattern of commitment starting next spring .... hopefully McDowell and another drops early (spring 13'), and we start building around an elite core.

RT @KeithRIVALS: 2014 standout WR Josh Malone of TN: "had a great visit at #Michigan today - coaches were awesome - on my way to #OhioSt ..."
MD must have told him don't bother with a visit your are going to be to highly rated to be recruited by MSU.

Colt Brennan for UH, although UH is now in the dumps once again.
You could also say Jake Locker for Washington.
not looking for Qb's, but if where talking qb's here, andrew luck turned a non football school into a national contender.
Harmon played QB off and on....FYI
Oh whoops. Maybe Chris Polk then for Washington, sort of.
Yeah, I know. QB wasn't his main position though, as you mentioned. It was just every now and then. So I say it counts.

Wow, Jayru was offered by Alabama. Having early offers from ND and now Alabama is very impressive for a QB. Glad that he's from CT.
Michigan is in a tough spot. A number of highly rated 2014 QBs want a Michigan offer, but not everyone can come in and be #2 behind Shane.
Jayru is 2015.
Yep, interesting situation. He's from a pipeline school, but would he go to Michigan behind say Morris/Kizer (or another highly ranked 2014 QB)?
He probably would, these kids aren't really scared of competition.
