I count six head-to-head 2014 Michigan/Ohio recruiting battles if 11w is correct. The good news is half of them live in Michigan.
Drake Harris - instate kid, he has interest in us and we've got a lot more games/visits to land him
Malik McDowell - instate kid, we were/still are his leader
Kyle Berger - i think we have a good shot because urban has so many other top lb's targeted
Damon Webb - instate kid, committed to Ohio, but I don't think his recruitment is over
Jabrill Peppers - crown jewel, wide open but has UofM and Ohio in top 5
Montae Nicholson - probably Ohio's best head-to-head chances other than Webb
Nothing so needs reforming as other people's habits. -- Mark Twain
Actually, many of those kids are realistic for Ohio.
QB DeShaun Watson - If Clemson has a bad season and Ohio has a great season, then I can see a flip.
RB Jalen Hurd - This one is just arrogance. If Saban wants Hurd, he will get Hurd.
WR Marshon Lattimore - speedy/shifty WR from Glenville HS. Enough said.
WR Drake Harris - Quite possible. Largely depends on how both Michigan and Ohio do this upcoming season.
OT Kyle Trout - Already committed.
OT Jamarco Jones - He probably does prefer Ohio over Notre Dame.
OT Roderick Johnson: I don't know anything about him.
OG Marcelys Jones: Already committed and from Glenville HS.
ATH Parris Campbell: Already committed.
ATH Myles Autry - I don't know anything about him.
DE Jalyn Holmes - I don't know anything about him.
DE Malik McDowell - Ohio is a player but I think is currently trailing both Michigan and Notre Dame.
LB Dante Booker - Strong lean.
LB Kyle Berger - If Ohio wants him, then he probably will be a Buckeye.
LB Raekwon McMillan - (strong?) Ohio lean.
LB Clifton Garrett: Ohio lean.
CB Damon Webb - Already committed.
CB Jabrill Peppers - This one is up in the air. I think Stanford leads.
S Quin Blanding - Ohio leads?
S Montae Nicholson: If Ohio wants, then he'll probably be a Buckeye.
So the overwhelming majority of the mock class is not unrealistic especially if Ohio goes undefeated again (which is unlikely).
Of course, recruiting is fluid. We should all know that by now.

Damn! +18! Wow.
thats what i was thinking. not unrealistic. they should have a great class again.
Not sure why anyones mocking 11warriors. Have you read some of your wishlists that I've seen around here?
You are correct.
Wishlists and predictions/mocks are two very different things.
Who cares? were Michigan and this a Michigan board. Are we seriously gonna bicker about who they get and don't get?
It's embarrassing how much forum going Michigan fans obsess over Urban Meyer.
That's right. I believe that anybody can early enroll and their scholarships count towards the next season (2014). In order to fit more in the class, they can backdate up to 3 if they are under 85 for this coming season.
It's his smouldering eyes.
Who's planning on EEing. Bosch? anyone else

I saw on Twitter that McDowell will have OSU as his leader and that they were his childhood favorite.
That's gotta be a misquote because at the beginning he said in most interviews he was a Michigan fan...first time i ever heard ohio as his favorite
Well, as long as you saw it on twitter ...
Apparently that's what he said during a live interview on the radio, so idk. Wish his dad wouldve just let him commit to us last summer.
I believe this is coming from ohio blogs etc. Probably a misquote.
If he was truly an osu fan he would not have even had that desire to commit last summer...
It's coming from Dave Biddle, one of the biggest toolbags OSU can produce. Same loser that pronounced Jamel Turner dead when he was shot.
Apparently? Did he say it or didn't he? And most radio shows now podcast interviews like this. Maybe you can link it so we can all hear what he said for ourselves. TIA.

I get the feeling that he didn't really have a childhood favorite; I've read interviews including some of Steve's old stuff at tremendous where IIRC McDowell said he watched M, MSU, and OSU growing up, while I've also read that he watched for M, Alabama, and LSU. Memory could be hazy on that. But today, he went on a radio show with Dave Biddle (from Bucknuts 247) and said what I posted earlier. I found out about it through Twitter because I don't listen to Bucknut radio shows.
Biddle? Biddle's a couple notches below Kureluc and Helwagen when it comes to credibility and that's not easy to do.
There we go.
Check out his 247 video. He is wearing Michigan shorts. I believe there is another video out there from a camp where he is wearing Michigan gear. I believe I had read in the past that he grew up a Michigan fan. We will see how this plays out.
