Alright, although I'm pretty sure current players tweeting to recruits is a minor, minor, minor infraction. That is, unless something changed with the new rules. Nothing has ever come of it, though.
I love this kid. He is already to work!
If only his name was Wilson...
Coaches must have told him to go to work.
I bet that Henderson commits to MSU with us out of the picture and OSU unlikely to offer.
O'Connor is much higher on their board right now.
oh really, I didn't know that. Is he showing mutual interest?
right? I'd aim a little higher, coach perhaps.
It will be hard for Michigan to have a consensus top 10 class for the 2014 cycle if we have under 20 commits. Every team ranked in the top 13 for 2013 (all sites) had atleast 22 commits. I feel the media outlets will require us to land all/most of our top prospects, and a few 5*'s to be in top 10 consideration. Many people dont care about the rankings, and I feel that 2014 class will be strong either way, but to those who are not "cadre" will view the public perception as the barometer.
Ill be honest, I watched a different highlight tape of his last night then i saw before, and I was much more impressed. I may have saw his sophomore film, and I was not that impressed (where he throws a duck on the second highlight). But I had a man crush on Cornwell, so that also persuaded my hastily given "analysis." Im much more confident in WS now, and look forward to his continued development.
are there any highlights of Kyle Berger out there?
Ahhhh.....my new home for the next year. Lets go Team 135!
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Agreed. I think O'Connor is a better fit for MSU.

Steve, I know that you've been very high on Berger for quite some time now. Does the fact that we were a little late to the party with an offer hurt our chances with him? My Bucknut friends believe that he's a lock to commit to them some time this spring. I'm hoping that he'll at least visit Michigan once more first.
The Berger optimism is partly based on the fact that OSU has serious interest from Booker, McMillan, and Garrett IMO.
I think we shouldn't fall for the bucknuts philosophies.
According to them everyone that has OSU Interest is a lock for them if OSU wants them. Then if a kid chooses another school it's because OSU had kids higher on the list. No doubt they have high interest from booker, Garrett, and McMillan but do not discount the work our coaches do in Ohio. I think that is where Steve's optimism stems from; the influence our coaches are having on berger not because Ohio won't have room.

Somebody enlighten me please. Maybe I've missed this earlier but why are people saying that Harris is a lock to Ohio? It was stated in the Booker update thread and previously by Wiltfong today. Has he had visits recently or made comments that I have not seen? It's pretty simple if you ask me look at Ohio and who they have getting him the ball in the future. Miller probably gone after this year. Guyton looks like a poor mans vision of Miller. Barrett, have seen nothing to impress me. Meyer recruits qb's to run not throw it's clear. Look at who Michigan has coming in and if Harris wants to be a top flight wr he has a much better chance with those qb's dishing him the pigskin then those other qb's in Ohio. Just my
I agree about Harris. If football is his dream...he'll go to a team with a QB that can sling it.
Michigan can look Berger in the eye and say he's the #1 linebacking target on their board. Ohio State can't. That means something.
The timing of the offer is relatively inconsequential and he really, really likes Coach Mattison. The snowstorm prevented Mattison from making it to his basketball game last weekend, but Coach was going to bring his wife along and introduce her and himself to Kyle's entire family. I think he'll be one of the guys Mattison goes after hardest.
Once he gets on campus, meets Jake Ryan and gets a better idea of what Michigan is all about, I think they can take the lead in this one. Given he hasn't been there yet or seen anything, they're in good position right now.
In addition, what WR outside of harvin has Meyer groomed for the NFL?
David Nelson - undrafted but getting decent reps for the bills
Riley cooper - 5th rounder for eagles. 4th on the depth chart if that
Steve, I think in this case you're assuming things about Urban Meyer and his staff that aren't necessarily true. They certainly could look him in the eye and tell him that. Whether it's true or not is another matter.
And as much fun as it is to bash OSU, I've seen many others do the same thing, including Penn State. The staff supposedly told a NJ DB he was #1 on their board for 2014. However, they've offered 5+ DB's and nothing for him.
Sometimes, you can even say things that are interpreted positively, but really don't mean what the recruit thinks they do.
Why do you think they call him Urban Liar?
Good point luger. Harvin is just a speedy slot guy and Harris is going to be your stretch the field type wr which Michigan is going to.
