4 WR definatley....some will need to play as Freshman, because the only receivers with decent potential will be Darboh and Chesson, and the 3 WR in the '13 haul, who all could get jumped in the depth chart based on skill and/or caliber of WR we get in '14.
My take on position needs (going with 19 person class):
This looks good. Although depending on if we add Durham Smythe to this class I think the TE number could be 2 next year.
I also think we are going to get closer to 22 after attrition.
Yeah, depending on Green and Smythe, RB and TE could go up to 2.
Any additional spots (on top of 19) I think should go to: WR first, DL second, and TE third.
Its hard to argue the need for 4. I would be ok with 3 if they are Corey Holmes, Derek Kief and Artavis Scott...then adding a 4th if when can pull Drake Harris away. That would be SICK!
Man, the more I watch highlights and camp videos of David Cornwell, the more I want him. The coaches need to get that offer out and lock him up before any of the Oklahoma schools come to their senses and start going hard after him.
We have to take a kicker/punter. Either McGrath will be gray shirted, in which case he needs to be counted in the 2014 class, or we will need to take someone else. Gibbons and Hagerup will both be gone after 2013 and Wile will have only one season left.

Good point. I had completely forgot about specialists. It would be nice to pick up McGrath tomorrow, and then pick up a punter in '14.
I remember Steve saying Cornwell has moved around a ton in his life, and has no allegiance to any state, including Oklahoma. Plus, I don't think either in-state school is showing interest for whatever reason. Their loss.
Even if he has no allegiance to any state or region, being close to a top recruit is a huge benefit, if only for ease of visits and contact.
Thank God for us, with a player like that I would always worry about the hometown school sneaking in after striking out with other players. That's great to hear that he doesn't have any state allegiances.
I'm really hoping we snag Cornwell. The only negative in this case is that either he or Morris would likely sit while the other plays. That's a ton of talent to have on the bench.
Word is the local schools already know about Cornwell, they just have justice Hansen ahead on their board.
That's a fantastic problem to have.
I'll always take that scenario.

So will I. Never know how one will pan out or if one goes down, it's great to have another just as good.
Although I agree with Luger that it is still really early, however sitting around work today, I couldn't help but think about it myself. Here is what I am looking for assuming we have 20 scholarships available.
QB (1) David Cornwell. I wouldn't mind seeing two in this class, so if we get to 21, then we can get two. Other options are Andrew Ford & Tyler Wiegers.
RB (1) Jonathan Hillman. Again, this is assuming we get Derrick Green this year. Other options are Joe Mixon & Mikale Wilbon.
WR (3) Corey Holmes, Artavis Scott and Drake Harris. I wouldn't mind 4 so other options are Derek Kief & Dominque Booth.
TE (1) Nic Weishar. If we do not get Durham Smythe, then we may want to look at two. Other options Ian Bunting, Kyle Rachwel & Tyler Luatua.
OL (4) Denzel Ward, Mason Cole, Alex Bars & Tommy Doles. Other options at Tackle are Orlando Brown, Bentley Spain & Jamarco Jones (maybe KC McDermott as well). Other interior options are Braden Smith & Sam Mustipher.
DL (4) Da'Shawn Hand, Malik McDowell, Bryan Mone & Lawrence Marshall. We are really looking at a potentially great DL haul here. Other options at DE are Gelen Robinson & Garrett Dickerson. Other options at DT are Dexter Wideman, Daniel Cage & Enoch Smith.
LB (2) Michael Ferns & Kyle Berger. Other options are Nyles Morgan, Clifton Garret & Brandon Lee.
CB (3) Jabrill Peppers, Parrker Westphal & Troy Vincent. Clearly if we can get Damon Webb to flip, he can replace Vincent.
S (1) Montae Nicholson. Other options Quin Blading & Ed Paris.
We also could possibly use a scholarship on a specialist. With the possibility of McGrath we may not need to. Wile, Kenny Allen and McGrath are all very solid options.
Again, it's early but I would be pleased with getting anyone I listed.
I think it's important that the 2014 class is very strong nationally, however, I am also hoping that they can have very solid local talent to help recruit and grow the bond within the class (Like Shane, LTT & Dymonte Thimas did in '13).
Hopefully Ward and Ferns can help with that. It was a huge advantage that Shane was close enough to be on campus every time a major recruit was in town.
It seems like it will be McDowell or bust instate this season.
Im not too familiar with Doles or Marshall. I have heard, from people that I trust, that Marshall is underated.
Kenny Allen is a BCS level kicker/punter.
We definitely don't HAVE to take one.
