yup, exactly what I've been saying, although I include PSU among the "brands" of the Big Ten because a 4-8 year (or however long/short you guys will be down) blip means nothing in the scheme of things.

Right now, I expect Hack to RS, but it all depends on how well he does in summer camp. We've got a true sophomore Steven Bench and JUCO signee Tyler Ferguson. I really don't know which one will start, but I'd expect it to be one of those two. Depends on spring practice.
Oh I know, I don't think PSU will dominate either. As long as O'Brien stays, the team will do solidly, but consistently fall to more talented teams, IMO.
I appreciate the discussion, guys.
I didn't realize you got a JUCO guy. Does PSU often get JUCO's? If BOB can successfully mine JUCOs that could go along way during the sanctions. Getting a guy who's more physically and mentally ready from a JUCO goes a long way if you have someone who doesn't pan out like you hoped. Bama gets all the press for their recruiting classes of HS kids, but they also have quite a few stars Sabam gets fr JUCOs. Cody, Dial, Jesse Williams, Beule are/were all starters and major pieces to championship teams that Saban got from JUCO. It's a big reason for sustained success. I wish UM could get JUCOs (frowney face).
Didn't most of our recruits' rankings drop last year too and at least 7 of them made an impact on the team during the 2012 season. It's more a fact of the recruiting sites moving the uncommited guys up and our guys down because they commited so early.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
No, we don't usually get JUCO's. However, our QB depth was so scarce (i.e. Steven Bench was the only scholarship QB for spring), that it was necessary. The staff has also brought in 2 walk-on QB's for spring as well, and will bring in another walk-on for summer in addition to Hackenberg. It was that bad.
With the scholarship restrictions, both overall and per year, I don't know that we can bring in JUCO's much in the next few years.
Most JUCO's probably just don't have the grades to get into Michigan. That's not always why kids go the JUCO route, but usually for the talented recruits...
You stay Away fro Demar DOrsey!
I liked this quote:
"We should have pretty good depth at OL with Riley Norman and Caleb Benenoch coming in."
#Alabama offers Ohio State RB commit Ezekiel Elliott.
I'm going to laugh so hard if he flips anywhere lol
How does it feel Urbie?
How does what feel? He wasn't offered by Alabama, he was offered by FSU, the only threat is Mizz, how does Poggi feel? Seems as though Saban is having a little fun with you guys on that one!
, got sugar bro man ?.
Bama, FSU or Mizz it's all the same. You still lose your best running back at the last minute. Saban can have all the fun he wants Poggi is all blue.
Didn't know we lost him? Do you know somethiing we all don't know? Please share your insider info! If we lose him, good luck to him, good kid and family, wish nothing but the best for him, but as of now he is OSU, if there is a position we can afford to lose it is RB, we have some pretty good depth there. I can say the samething about Poggi, sneaking a visit, dad playing games, just doesn't look like someone who is all BLUE would do? I have to admit as nice as it was having Tressel and the safe non-exciting recruiting day's, this is much more interesting and fun, can't wait for signing day, we will win some and we will definitly lose our share, let the games begin!
How did Poggi sneak a visit?
God I hate to ask this but....is Channing Stribling taking a visit to Auburn? Was on ESPN and saw his twitter feed. He says he is going to be in Opelika this weekend.
I would be surprised.
We mention one little thing about EZE and the the cheats come out in full force.
Lots of conflicting reports about him actually being offered. I know that no one is closer to the Elliott's than Steve, so I'll take his word over everyone else's. Alabama offered him as a DB, something he has no interest in playing. If he wanted to play DB he'd likely be committed to ND. OSU offering as RB was a BIG reason he choose OSU over ND.
Your fan base has been soooo adamant about "Zeke" because hes unlike your current stable of backs...you know opposite of Dunn, Hyde etc...
Why do you guys even bother with these clown Ohio fans? They really are not worth the trouble and only put BS on here!
I would agree that we are adamant about wanting Zeke in the class, and I believe he will be in the class, but I think the reason we want him in this class in because he is such a talented player who has been trending up nationally since we first offered him. I also agree he is a different back that we are looking to add, he would fit the role Hall has for us this year, smaller more versitle back.
I'd feel dirty if I spent any time on ohio's board... but like their HS players I guess some of them want to escape for a little fresh air?
Elliiott is either going to Mizzou or OSU.
