Good, that's where I hope he ends up
Fullback, Hback, and short distance back would work nicely.
Frankly, I want our jumbo package to be Hurst at FB and Shallman at RB.
Seriously, it'd be bigger than the Giants' SB-winning jumbo-package of Hedgecock and Jacobs. 550 pounds of beef coming straight through a hole made by a line weighing in at a combined weight of at least 1500 pounds (1750 if you count AJ Williams). FFS, there will be defensive linemen smaller than the RB we trot out in our jumbo package. Manball at it's best.
Scout posted a 1on1 video with Derrick Green and Sam Webb, UM's getting a sharp kid, great interview

I dont know, smith breaks more tackles in his video then green and shallman combined. More to being a powerback then just being big.
Not to mention that one reporter who is in the know (sorry, I can't recall who) said that if Harris is going to leave Sparty it would be for Michigan. You've gotta think our offense suits his skill-set better anyway.

It may not be football, but we do have a basketball team that, with a win tomorrow, will be number 1 in the country.
and for good measure...
I'm not sure about the league Shallman plays in, but Green plays in a very good league in the Richmond area; very good competition. Smith plays against not good competition. Not that Smith isn't good, especially considering his whole team's offense consists of handing him the ball (and the other team knows it), but it would be interesting to see if Smith could do the same in Green's league.
Any word on Poggi?
Well, we'll know one way or another in a week.
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
Can you imagine the schadenfreude of a flip to Michigan?
I am unable to upload the info from his twitter page. It's all UM & Imo I am confident he will stay committed.

There's been some solid reports on Poggi, he will most likely end up in this class. But it's definitely a matter of wait and see.
I like the 2 RB's we have now a lot more and there is talk of bringing him as ATH LB/TE/H-Back role and I'm not feeling it. As hot as UM?
That's interesting, I have not considered what type of LB prospect Ty Isaac could be. Seems like he would have good enough "measurable" athletic ability to play LB, hgt wgt spd etc. Dont know about the instinct or desire to play D though.
Hell if u don't him we will take him. Never can have enough elite playmakers
Any specific reason why we're not recruiting Isaac as a WR/ATH? Does he want to be a RB? Bridge burn down?
Part of the reason Michigan struggled to gain traction early on in Derrick Green's recruitment was because he was very clearly the Plan B to Isaac's Plan A. After mending that fence and working to the finish line and winning the Green sweepstakes, it'd be a pretty tough sell to Green and his family that "oh, that kid we liked better than you back in the spring and summer, no, we're not recruiting him as a RB this time, don't worry."
That and Isaac simply doesn't want to come to Michigan.
I can't wait till Michigan starts turning out nfl RBs year after year. So elite RBs will come in bunches just like bama
Let's grab Smythe and call it a day. Hoping that is the case.
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
Honestly, I think we're done. Sounded like Smythe's ND visit went really well this weekend, so I think even if he doesn't get admitted to Stanford, we're behind ND for him.
I also can't think of another recruit that we'd target with that last scholarship. At this point, just bank it. I have a feeling 2014 is going to be a special, special class.
That's what we thought last year as well before Henry and Norfleet. We'll see if the staff picks up interest in Edwards or Redding.
I think we should be done, though
