Is it bad I don't care about 2013 recruiting anymore? I feel like Derrick Green is a lock to Michigan, so I've almost completely moved onto 2014.
Auburn was scheduled for tonight to do an in-home and I think FSU was last night or earlier today?
Yeah, that's what I thought. Wasn't sure though. I'd prefer if he takes a visit to FSU over a visit to Auburn, but the best case would be him just staying home and waiting it out until the 26th before choosing the good guys.

Totally agree. Can't help but remember Sean Parker. Extremely high on Michigan with USC being the challenger at the time. Most Michigan fans were happy when he opted to not visit USC again, and instead took a final visit to Washington, where he committed and has been a starting safety for a couple seasons now.
Or the 26th, haha. But yeah I agree, hope he decides against it.
According to this thread on Florida State's 247, a visit has not been set up for Green and Florida State
That Derrick Green is visiting this weekend. Josh,Chris,or Tom have you guys heard anything on this?
I heard shane morris committed to ohio this morning. any truth to that? I know you got the insider info
jj mcgrath commits to michigan
Poggi issue already discussed and is not an issue. Dawson literally just said he is NOT visiting Ohio minutes ago.
Nobody on this board can define the word regression.... but it sure gets used a lot.
who started these rumors?
David Dawson @D3_FutureLegend
I am NOT visiting #OHIO ON THE 18th
edited for language, but I like the message

Panic striken fans. I think it still shows on 247 ticker and fans just panic and harass recruits. Doing the same with Poggi. It's really embarrassing.
People looking at Dawson's page on 247 started the rumor. Look at the bottom of the attached image, that's where this sparked.
It's clearly just an issue with the 247 data though because the "Interests" section does NOT list a visit, so they removed it from one spot, but must've forgot the other...

Went investigating trying to find Deveon Smith's senior highlights, and I came up empty. However, I did find a extended version of his junior highlights. This video is 10 minutes long, as opposed to the 2 minute long video of Smith's JR highlights.
2013 Deveon Smith - Howland - Jr yr - RB 4 - Ohio High School Football - College Division 1 prospect
In a lot of ways Smith reminds me of the old time great running backs from the 70's, 80's and early 90's. I see a lot of Payton, Campbell, and Jackson in the way he runs. Just something like they are pissed off at the defense and want to punish them. Maybe the way he breaks tackles or his stiff arm. I'm looking forward to seeing him play.
He's definitely a fighter. Fantastic balance and strength. Really smart runner in setting up would-be tacklers with limited wiggle. An extra yardage machine.
What I don't know is how a runner like that generally translates when making the jump. He played pretty good competition in high school, but those tackles aren't going to be so easy to break. I'm hoping after a few years in a weight training program, he'll be making some runs like that in the B1G.
Don't know how likely that is, though.
Pep Hamilton left Stanford to be the OC with the colts should helps us with Smythe. He would be a huge pull this late in the game.
I like our chances with him for some reason.

Wow. That's big, not just for Smythe but for Stanford going forward.
It definitely helps, and I agree that Smythe would be a great addition.
Here's a link to some of Durham Smythe's senior year highlights.

Really like his film. Would love to see him Funchness, and Butt altogether. Those threee could make some very difficult matchups for opposing teams.
thanks, I was getting ready to flip out
Im more curious to see how many CB's get hurt trying to tackle him. Your looking at it from the wrong perspective, just like how some other poster said that Lewan will have competition from Kouandjio and some other OL being the best next year....ummm those players have competition with Lewan, not the other way around.
