For anyone thinking Onwualu commits this week.
Allen Trieu @AllenTrieu
Cretin-Derham Hall (MN) WR James Onwualu visiting #Michigan Wednesday, #OhioState over the weekend and #NotreDame the 23rd
I don't understand why Isaac and Smith are concerned about the other.
I understand they want to be a feature back but competition should dictate that.
* * * N E O . R E T R O * * *
I don't think they want to be involved with in a possible log jam.
The issue is the coaches are treating Shallman as a RB. Not a FB, not an H-back, not a tight end or anything like that. A running back. So the problem is once Isaac or Smith commits, the other would then be looking at themselves as the third RB in the class, and neither of them are interested in that.
Ah. I see.
I've been counting Wyatt Shallman as a fullback or h-back. I just don't see as a RB.
Borges must've sold Shallman on the Brandon Jacobs comparison but as an informed fan I'm not buying it. On this one, I'm gonna take a "show me" attitude.
I bet when he comes in he will get a chance to compete at RB for the first year and possibly switch after fall practice.
Blah to be this guy but Bell leaving gives this class another slot correct?
Not really, as he was one of the guys always thought to not get a 5th year. But technically, yes. It's really a non-event.
I think it just confirms a scholarship previously thought to be open eventually.
What's wrong with a man giving away a golden shower? Sounds like a nice gift to me.
As a PSU fan, classes of 25 and 23 seem fairly large, especially consecutively. Not trying to be antagonizing or anything, but how are that many scholarships opening up? Some 5th year guys not coming back, transfers, etc.?
A lot of that is due to RR and huge attrition that happened under him. Now with Hoke coming in, we're seeing some transfers of guys that don't fit in the program. Some 5th years graduate instead of sitting on the bench. Then there's always the normal attrition that you'd see at every program every year.
One of the guys that was probably going to get the axe(5th year next year) for 2013 just left. I expect about 2-3 more RS JRs will not get a 5th year.
Here is the attrition we have faced since 2008:
2008: 9 out of 24
2009: 8 out of 22
2010: 10 out of 27
2011: 3 out of 20
Some of these guys that left the program were pretty highly regarded as well.
Actually it is 4 for 2011.
Yeah you are right. I forgot about Posada.
where did Chris Barnett end up? why did he leave?

Not sure where he ended up but Oklahoma and Arkansas fans warned us about him, because he had committed and decommitted from both of them and then signed with us at the last minute. Also, he showed up to campus almost 40 lbs overweight.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
How did the other recruits enjoy the weekend? Who ended up coming? Wasn't hatcher there? Hicks?
stupid amount. I am sure Hoke will curve that down with his own recruits.
I thought Hatcher was coming this weekend.
Not sure if this has been posted but MarQuez North 4* WR out of NC is visiting for the spring game.
To this point, at least, it seems like Hoke is going to have less marginal qualifiers. The lack of communication between the coaching staff and admissions seems to be better too (i.e. Standifer).
Just in 2010 class we had 3 guys not even make it on campus. That is 3 spots that could have been filled by actual contributors.
I think from 2013 and onward we will see very few marginal qualifiers.
According to the other site. Shane Cockerille is going to visit us.
Are we taking two qbs? He is from the same school as Poggi.
