I have to agree with Luger because we have played Air Force and a very anemic passing offense of ND not to mention Andrew Maxwell is not a good passer. If we played a passing team like Texas Tech or even Louisville with Teddy Bridgewater our corners would struggle more than our stats suggest we would. AJ McCarron and Bama if they wanted to pass more or needed to pass more would have torched us more than they did. Next year with Countess back if he recovers well and Raymon Taylor getting or a touted frosh come in like Countess did...then we could be a good secondary.

Not to throw a wet blanket, but Leons dad on twitter had an epiphany watching the UsC Oregon game and realized Leon should be in this game next year because they hve need for him on defense
What's your definition of productive? Not giving up the big play? Did you watch the Nebraska game where we got beat deep and had missed assignments? Even yesterday, our corners were either flagged or beat deep only to have a bad thrown ball. Our corners give 10 yr cushions and give up the 12 yard out to every team or play bump and get beat or flagged. Talent becomes production with snaps in game play, thus our coaches would not hesitate to play the more talented guys, that's why countess played last yr and Taylor leaped Avery this yr (and likely would have leaped Floyd if countess was not out). Trust me, Ohio knows our weakness is the secondary, they knew it last yr and know it this yr. that will be our first true test. The potential is there in Taylor, and i have been impressed with his growth. but he is still a RS Fr and it still shows on plays.

Productive for me is having the #1 pass defense in the country.
Yeah, we haven't played lethal passing attacks like TTech or WVU, but who says they would be able to pass all over us? Those pass interference calls were on JT Floyd btw, who has always struggled with pass interference, but he won't be on the team next year and is being replaced by Blake Countess.

Yea .. I suppose he could feel that way also. Who knows. Lets just hope for the best I guess.
Dymonte Thomas from the 2013 class.
Jarrod Wilson and Jeremy Clark from the 2012 class.

USC (IF Redfield decommits)
Sua Cravens 5* from the 2013 class
Gerald Bowman 5* and Elijah Steen 3* from the 2012 class
I'm still not seeing a better opportunity for him to go to USC
D.GREEN #⃣2⃣7⃣ @BrOoKyLn_boii27
Looks like i might be putting #MIAMI back in the mix!
Other than hunnies .. I honestly cant see what Miami could offer Green at this point in time.
Uh oh .. what I meant to say was ...
??? That's odd.
Agree.. found it very strange, especially with Miami losing 3 of 4 recently and just not looking very intriguing.
Only thing I could think of was maybe interest in playing at least once a year in his home state of Virginia? And Miami happens to be playing @UVa this coming weekend.
Did Nevin Shapiro get out of jail or something?
Virginia Tech not UVA
Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898
Miami played Va Tech last week Thursday, they play @UVa this weekend (Nov 10th).
Derrick Green isn't coming to Michigan and I'm fine with that. Personally, I would like to recruit another cornerback and put Ross Douglas at running back.
Based on...? Green loved his visit and he has a great relationship with our RB coach Fred Jackson. His other presumed favorite schools are Auburn and Tennessee, and both of those programs are trainwrecks. No reason to think we aren't in the mix of things. Especially since Chizik and Dooley will probably get canned.

My bad I was thinking of Florida State.
Because we are in on so many top rated CBs at this point.
Hey guys .. can anyone give us an update on DeVeon Smith and how his season's going/gone? I feel like we dont give him enough love sometimes. Obviously it's unintentional .. but I'd lieke to know. I'm still holding out hope for a 1-2 punch of Smith and Green and a sprinkle of Rawls too. Thanks.
I agree, I have not seen anything that indicates Green likes Michigan.
I am on the Smith train. Green is just a bonus with Smith already in the fold.
