Setting yourself up to be disappointed.
As good as that safety combo would be, I don't think it's ideal to have three 5'9"ish cornerbacks. We need some rangy 6+ footers like Devin Butler and Gareon Conley.
Check out my 2 deep of UM's base 4-3 under defense, let me know your thoughts. Last updated: 3/28/12
You don't think we have a shot at Cravens? I'm not trying to be a dick. Just wondering if you know something the rest of us don't.
What's wrong with a man giving away a golden shower? Sounds like a nice gift to me.
To be honest, our chances are about 3%, he's staying on the west coast, most likely to USC.
Go Blue & Gig Em'!
If not USC probably OU.
I know a Tattoo artist!
USC is miles and miles ahead of everybody else. They will have to botch the recruitment very badly to not land Cravens.
Richardson is 5'9
Lewis is 5'11 (and growing)
Countess is 5'11
I'm fine with those DB's and their height. USC doesn't have anything on us except the weather. Their defense has been like a revolving door for a few years now and ours is starting to take shape and take on the demeanor of the Ravens . I like our chances with anyone if they visit.
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Well thats why I added the "ish" in there Ducksworth. But I see conflicting reports on Lewis' height. We can argue about inches all day long. My point was that we need some length at the cornerback position.
I think bringing USC out of the ashes and back on to the National Stage is a huge allure
I'll take a blanket corner over a guy who is tall but not as good in coverage all day. That's why we got Jarrod Wilson and the...as you say....lengthy....Jeremy Clark back there. Our safeties play over the top most of the time unless Kovacs is blitzing. Our CB's are usually in man coverage and from what I saw we didn't get beat on jump balls very often at all. We got beat cause we couldn't cover short routes or stick with the wideout. i.e. Michael Floyd, Jordan White, Keyshawn Martin, Marvin McNutt...I can keep goin but you get the point.
Nice Poggi Article
Watch List DT Henry Poggi has ties to many college, but it remains to be seen if that will impact his decision, writes Dave Hooker.
Thanks for posting, didn't think he had more than minimal interest in PSU. Might have a shot if we get him on campus, but I'm not going to hold my breath.
Is it just me, or do people see Cravens being the Josh Garnett of 2013?
Huge, big-time player who everyone thinks will stay out west. Then he starts to express interest and we tentatively get optimistic.. he takes a visit and likes it and we get more optimistic... then he puts us in his top group and.... stays out west.
Hopefully this one ends differently though,

I've decided with the big time players not from the midwest i am just not going to get my hopes up. I hope the coaching staff recruits the ones who show interest as hard as anybody but I just won't get too optimistic about them coming to Michigan until they commit.
I was just starting to forget about Josh Garnett....Thanks a lot
Anzalone says were out of the question cuz were full at lb. Wonder who else has committed now?
That seems to be the running question.
A poster on bucknuts said Gedeon has let the word slip at his school that he's going Blue.
Not only Garnett but Payton and Banner had my hopes up at one time as well. That being said this seems to be a special year for Michigan in recruiting. I seriousily have never seen anything like this since I've followed recruiting this closely. Def happy about it cause usually I'm bored in Feb. I have to admit this is the best site I've been on and recently been introduced to it through another blog. After my month is up I will have no problem paying monthly to get this kind of info and talk to level headed fans that actually know something about their team. I do think Hoke will get one stud recruit from the West. Here's to hoping it is Cravens or Vandergoes.
"If winning isn't everything, why do they keep score?"
Does anyone know exactly what position the coaches see McCray playing? I think he would be a very good rush end if he adds 20 pounds and he definitly has the frame for it....Thoughts?
