If the coaches are high on Stribling then that is fine with me. I don't like locking him up this early but if Hoke and Co thought he would blow up soon it makes sense.
My only issue and this is doing a 180 from what I said a couple of weeks ago is closing a class early. There is still about 7 months until signing day. A lot can happen. What if Ty takes another trip out to So Cal and decides he would rather be closer to home? There are also scenarios where coaches can be fired or maybe a program gets in trouble then a kid decides he would rather be blue and now we don't have a ship for him because we decided to lock up a LS or fringe prospect early. I just think its good to keep a scholarship or two available basically until the beginning of February.
Really wanted him, liked him as a slot more then Bailey. Never expected to get him though so I guess it helps us with Treadwell a little, Harris too but I don't really want him.
Depends if USC recruiting him as a WR or corner ..... I would hold on the celebration just yet ...

Kind of what happened to us last year with the PSU scandal. We didn't have the slots open to take advantage of the scandal, ironicly OSU did due to their own scandal.
USC posters seemed to think as a CB.
How many WRs is usc taking in this class
Nobody knows how many schollys are left for '13, but I have seen some estimate 24-25. If true, we have 2-3 left. Clearly, Treadwell has 1 of the spots. The other spot (IMO) is open to whoever commits first regardless of position, i.e. we would not turn away a McQuay or Fuller if they wanted it.
Exactly. This means they can take 1 more I believe.

In fact, this would make sense as Sam Webb said today things are going to slow down now. The coaches will soon start preparing for the fall, and we will probably see action once officials commence.
The July BBQ is still an opportunity to see some movement.
If we do see some movement in July, I suspect it will be for the 2014 class.
I would be willing to bet that we see our first 2014 commitment before we see our 23rd commitment from the 2013 class.
That's a safe bet, especially if Leon McQuay doesn't take that visit with Alvin Bailey.
Even if he does I would still put a lot of money on that bet
Is there room for a fifth DB in this class?
Probably not, but outside of one more WR, I hope we take the best available. Take in one more WR, be it Treadwell, Harris, Bailey, Allen, Stringfellow, etc, and then use the last spot for a top DE/CB/WR/RB.
Michigan has gotten to the point in the class where they need one more receiver and the rest of the spots go to the best player no matter what position.
I'm not so sure, he was blown away on his first visit and instantly named Michigan to his top 3, a quick return visit would say a lot to me.
Suppose Bailey or Harris are blown away on their visit and jump at one of the spots, does the coaching staff still save that last spot for Treadwell?
This thread is like the repeater game in super troopers
Yes, they told him point blank they would save a spot. I don't think there is any grey area there. The coaches have proved to be very straight forward and honest
I think they would accept Bailey, but turn away Harris.
Do I look all mimbly bimbly, do I look like I drink milk from a saucer?
