I agree, but who do you turn down the package or the 5th overall player?
no ignorance on your part. He hasn't started the recruiting process yet but he likes us and most feel we will be in the hunt to land him.
Hasn't even started looking at schools yet. Some people think it'll come down to UM and ND, but I'm just not sure if we'll have a spot open when he finally starts the process. I hope we do. He would be my #1 DE left on our board followed closely by Mathis and Bower.
Very good question. I personally think it's almost out of the question that both would want to commit, so that'd be an awesome problem to have. Can't go wrong with either one. I just hope we get one of them.
I agree, but it sounds like the coaches want McQuay as a CB. Plus, it seems like we have our starting safeties of the future in Dymonte Thomas and Jarrod Wilson...
Bower just spent 4 days at Auburn and loved it. Definitely an SEC lean at the moment.
Shame, because he's high up on my DE wishlist/rankings:
5. Augusta (if good to go)
6. Hatcher - anyone heard anything about him?
They were short on DBs last year.

looks like mathis will not be in town for this camp(sound body)
I concur. I have always said take whoever comes first that is on your top list. Honestly, I would not be shocked if Mathis and/or Bailey drops in the next month or so.

I would be very surprised if Mathis commits early.
We also have McDowell next year who is another SDE. The only SDE this year I really want is Mathis.

Stealing Sparty's recruits and owning them on the field since 1898

Beaver said he was not coming anymore. I'm not sure what the reasoning was , but I'm a little dissappointed. I was hoping he would stop on campus for at least an hour
He has summer school
Teller or mathis make the most sense because they will be versatile on the dline. It is apparent the coaches like guys they can move around. But I really don't think mathis will have a spot next year when its time to commit.
Mathis is too bad. Unless Teller makes a move I think we have a few top SDE guys that will make officials in the Fall so we should be in good shape.
On the WR front, it looks like Harris on the 19th, and Bailey the following weekend (if I am reading tweets correctly). The WR spots should fall into place shortly I suspect. Then .... we sit till fall on DL/DB and RB. Only 4/5*s will battle for 2 spots.
If we don't get one and we fill up with wr and db's I'm good with it. I, like you, want one at sde, but I am so happy with this class its ok. We have numbers there from last year as well.
It's going to get interesting with teller though. If he likes his visit he knows how limited spots are
If in the highly unlikely situation Bailey commits to Michigan on his visit, and then Harris wishes to commit on his, will the coaching staff call up Laquon Treadwell and offer him a final chance to commit? Or will they accpet both commitments and be done with WR recruiting?
I think they would definitely not fill the fourth WR spot without first talking to Treadwell. He has been told he has a spot so I would think they would not accept Paul Harris's commitment in this scenario. The fourth receiver is a luxury and Treadwell would have that spot.
Who really knows but I think the scenario is similar to what happened with Gedeon and Anzalone.
Fuller to Penn State.
Just days after landing an offer from Penn State, WR Will Fuller pulls the trigger for the Nittany Lions.
