Would you take McQuay over Fuller?
Edit: Also, I just edited my above list. I left McQuay off entirely by mistake.

Man that's tough. If you are asking if both wanted to commit and i only had 1 spot left then my answer would probably depend on what type of defense i am running. I mean what i want to do with my corner and my safeties. If i am playing straight up man with my corners i probably take Fuller. McQuay can do a lot for a defense. He is good in run support. He can play center field as a safety and he has really good cover skills as well. Could be used to blitz with as well.
Edit: I wouldn't wait for one over the other though. If one wants to commit now i wouldn't wait to see what either of the other was going to do.

I would take the first ones to commit.
I would take McQuay over Fuller if that meant Bailey commits as well....Alvin Bailey is sick, he should be just as high on the list as anyone else at the moment.....He is suppose to visit A2 in the next couple weeks and I hope he commits.
Bailey is awesome. I wonder if he commits if Borges would be willing to throw in a little read option with Bailey at QB just as another thing the offense can do.
The other thing i find interesting with McQuay is the music thing. Could him and Peppers bond over that and it help us land Peppers in 2014?
Quote from the Tremendous interview:
Role: "The coaches see me as an explosive playmaker. They want to use me in a lot of different ways and want to get me the ball in a lot of different situations".
That is an interesting thought, Quay makes the beats and Peppers is more of the lyricist....makes perfect sense!!
Michigan will be the first football team to crank out a National-Championship-winning duo who also goes platinum.

The coaches are recruiting McQuay as a boundary CB. Personally, I hope the staff considers finishing with McQuay, Treadwell, Bailey, and Fuller. THAT would be a group of incredibly talented playmakers.
That would be a pretty sick secondary haul of
pshhhhh, double or triple platinum at least!!
Agreed. While these athletes can go anywhere, Michigan is obviously showing the clock is ticking for them. This may be a first come first serve, outside of Green who I bet has the luxury of waiting for now (unless coaches have a strong shot at an elite 2014 RB).
Key to this is Mathis IMO. If he shows up in the next 2 weeks, would the coaching staff tell him a spot is held for him? Probably not IMO. Thus, Mathis needs to make up his mind quickly, to secure the defensive spot available. This would drive some decisions with Fuller, McQuay, and Hargreaves.

I think we are good on the DL imo. We loaded on SDE with Wormley, Strobel and Godin. One of those guys will probably play, get RS and move to DT,
I'm not so sure about this. I think the only guy who has a spot saved is Treadwell. We don't lead for Green so turning down a kid like Mathis, Bailey, Muhammad, etc... to wait for Green to decide could be foolish.
Any chance that Jack Wangler walks on as a WR at Michigan?

No way we should turn away a talented prospect at any position to wait for Green. Even if we make up ground, I think his friend playing at Ohio would be a deal-breaker in the end.
Yeah, I saw an interview that he's a huge fan and that Johnny Wangler was more than happy to pay his way to Michigan over smaller scholarship offers. If he gets big-name offers then it's unlikely, but I think he'll be a preferred walk-on.
As for the finishing the class.. Last four spots is an awesome situation to have in early June. The coaches can focus their attention on the elite players they want to fill those spots.
The four will be:
1-2 WR (Treadwell, Bailey, Daniels, Allen, Harris)
0-1 RB (Green, Wilkins)
0-1 DE (Muhammad, Bower, Teller, Mathis)
0-1 DB (McQuay, Fuller)
IMO I think our chances of picking up Green or Wilkins is not very good, so I don't think we take another RB in this class. We already have two great RBs and brought in two in 2012 as well. It's not a need.
I think we take 2 WRs. We still need to build numbers there, and bringing in two more elite guys would really help to get some major playmakers for Shane to throw to.
I think we finish with:
WR Laquon Treadwell
WR Alvin Bailey
DE Joe Mathis
CB Leon McQuay III
That'd be an unbelievable finish and we'd probably contend with Bama and Texas for top 2-3 class.
Let's say those 4 commit. Any chance we could go to 25 if say Muhammad or Fuller wanted in as well?
It'd be tricky IMO. We already have to see a lot of attrition just to get to 24. I really hope we have time to give Muhammad a shot to get on campus and all that. He's an amazing player.
I agree. Muhammad is a beast. I really really like JoJo Mathis too.
If McDowell commits for the 14 class, the need for a DE will not be as glaring. I'd like Treadwell, McQuay, Bailey and Fuller.
Four CBs in one class is a lot. I don't think we take both Fuller and McQuay
I'm not really sure the need for DE is glaring now. Adding a top DE to 2013 is just a depth thing.
Pardon my ignorance on the Muhammad recruitment...whats his story? Has he visited and are we favorites or something?
I really like McQuay at safety.
CBs- Fuller, Richardson, Conley, Lewis
S- McQuay, Wilson, Thomas.
Then add Peppers and Glass for 2014.
