I'm assuming he isn't playing by then. If he is, I would assume it takes him a while to get into playing shape. But it would be amazing to add him to the defense this year.
I think it depends on if he can get a redshirt...there is mixed info on that. If not, I think he will definitely play by Nov.
If we are 8 and 0 and he is ready to go but will lose his redshirt....they will burn it
He's already used his rs year
This. He isn't eligible for another redshirt.
what's the difference between a regular redshirt and a medical redshirt? Why is there even a distinction if they result in the same outcome?
If your first RS year is a medical RS, you're still eligible for a second medical RS year. This is how you end up with players doing 6th-years. If the first RS is a regular RS (as in Ryan's case), then you aren't eligible for a second RS, even if it's for medical reasons.
It doesn't really matter. You're allowed one extra year to complete your 4 years of eligibility (the redshirt year). One can get that redshirt year retroactively for an injury early in the season (like Gardner). Sometimes people can get a sixth year if their first RS year was due to injury, and then they have to miss a second year because if injury. Since Ryan's first RS year was not injury related, he can't get a second RS year.

It sucked. It was in back to back years and both were in the 4th quarter of a basketball game.
I was looking at photos of the Spring Game. It's amazing how much bigger this team looks compared to previous years.
11 National Titles | 42 Conference Titles | 3 Heisman Winners | 78 All-Americans | 37 College Hall of Fame Members
I would like to see a side by side of Stephen Schilling the first RR year and Brennan Beyer from this year... I bet it would be quite comparable... This team looks the part for sure... The DL is great to see... They should allow those 230lbs LBs be abe to roam
Tough blow for this kid. You never want to see anyone get hurt.
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. -- Alabama tailback Derrick Henry, the No. 1-rated athlete in the ESPN 150 in 2013 and the Crimson Tide's top-ranked signee, is out for the remainder of spring practice with a fractured leg bone.
"Derrick Henry suffered a fractured fibula in Saturday's scrimmage and had successful surgery this morning with Dr. Lyle Cain," coach Nick Saban said in a statement. "With the support of our medical staff and the hard work and dedication Derrick has shown since he arrived, we are confident that he will make a full recovery for the start of camp this fall."
Let all our incoming recruits & current players be ok going forward, specially our prized recruit at RB - DG.
Damn, I hope he's ok for the season. I'm excited to see what he can do.
Admittedly, I'm much much much more excited for DG and Deveon, but still.
I believe he impressed in Alabama's spring practices and game.
Yeah, I know he was looking like a beast already. I want to see what the two-headed monster of him and Yeldon would do in game action.
DRob makes up for that god-awful pitch at the Tigers game:
Denard Robinson gave a ceremonial pitch another try Tuesday prior to the Michigan-Notre Dame baseball game at Ray Fisher Stadium as part of an attempt at redemption.
Yeap, totally agree man. After Fitz's injury, the team's acl issues, I just want our running game to be displayed & jammed down our opponents throats real bad.
Coach Hoke will be on Sportscenter/ESPN in a few minutes.
Why he gonna be on there? Bitch them out about snubbing Drake?

I think Espn is on campus today.
Did he pitch the ball to the ND catcher? Sorry...low blow.
No, but ND's school Chaplin certainly did
Is there a link to the espn segment anywhere
