I already think they are stupid.
I dont know why but Adter watching film On Dymonte Thomas again, he kind of reminds me of Cato June when he came out of high school. Cato was one of the top safeties in the nation but was also a safety/linebacker hybrid. I think that this is a good thing as well. With Mattison's creativity, there is a lot that can be done with a player like that.
I agree that I am not a fan of the jerseys but in Dave Brandons defense, something needed to be done. Desmond Howard publicly knocked Michigan saying that since he joined Gameday and had been to schools all of the country that Michigan didn't do anything to honor their legends like other schools do (IIRC he referenced the Tebow statue). However with so many legends you cannot keep retiring numbers.
My personal preference would have been statues around the stadium (although that is a more expensive process).
Also if the great players like Jake Ryan are switching their numbers how will they be honored in the future?
Its a consensus....#7, #10 or #4
How they played in HS is a good comparison, main difference would be body type... Cato was a big safety... Tomas has a small lower body
Edit: Hoping Brenan Beyer is ready... With Ryan being injured it looks like his versatility will be called upon in a variety of ways... Clark and Oje seem to provide quite a bit at WDE so Beyer can jump around and help with the SAM... I still have high hopes for Gordon... His pass rush is pretty good and he is very athletic

I believe Thomas is more athletic as well. I may be wrong, but I thought I heard Hoke mention Thomas as one of players getting reps at CB.
I have seen that... If they are comfortable with Furman, Gordon, Robinson and Wilson right now, why not try to improve his coverage skills by throwing him on island and getting him more accustomed to dropping the hips and learning the ins and outs of WR tendencies... No clue if that is what they are doing but I think it speaks to Dymonte's athletic ability for sure... Glad he is a Wolverine
I believe its to get the best players on the field. He won't have to learn the defense to play corner, you cover a receiver. He can be mkre of a difderence maker from tne corner spot at boundry. If he doesn't quite have the hips he plays safety
Just read over on Bucknuts that OSU doesn't have any returning starters on their DL for this upcoming year. So our OL is inexperienced, but so is their DL. This eases me.
Spence and Washington are realz good though. Schutt's not bad.
Agreed they have some studs. Especially Washington, he's a freak. Although I'm glad the part of our OL that is actually experienced will be going up against Washington and Spence. Hopefully, our OL has gelled by then and we'll actually be able to run the ball between the tackles for once.
Barring injuries, by the time U of M and Ohio play, Michigans O-Line and OSU's D-Line will not longer be inexperienced. After 11 games, your lines better be on the same page.
I am more concerned about our O-Line being prepared for a team like Notre Dame at the beginning of the season.
I love the statue idea. Plenty of room on the end concourses.
I believe this will be our best oline in years.
Guys I'm really confident that we will see an entire football teamcoinciding and playing together this year. Losing ryan hurts but we should have more plamakers on the field and all on the same page
I'm so excited for this season. It is going to be a long summer waiting for that first game.
Ain't that the truth. I'm kinda in disbelief that we've still got 5 months to go.

I am so waiting for the Spring Game just to get a taste but you know that is just going to make the wait even worse.
My friends and I are planning on reserving multiple tables at the bar and going all out with wings, beer, you name it - just for the spring game. That's how desperate we are for more football.
Don't know if this is true but i heard it's not being shown live because OSU and Michigan's games are scheduled for the same time so the BTN decided to show both on tape delay. Saw it on mgoblog.
90% sure it's not gonna be on TV.
Should be on at some point though right? Just not live?
