I always root for B1G schools (minus OSU and sparty, obviously) for precisely this reason. Unless I've bet against them, of course.
Also, Teddy Bridgewater is really showing me something in this Sugar Bowl, very impressive.
I'm all for showing the SEC is overrated, but just not against my Gators!
SEC SEC SEC ooops I mean go Cardnials. So far they are kicking the crap out of Florida.
Damn last 25 seconds or the SEC would be staring 4 loss bowl season straight in the face
Florida looks like their falling apart. I love it.
1st play both halfs
scratch this, **Louisville** is really showing me something, not just Bridgewater
They look really well coached, quite a showing for Strong. I bet Tennessee fans are really, really upset watching this game.
Does anyone have a compilation yet of Lewan versus clowney? Might be a little off topic, my apologies. I was curious to take a peek at the one on ones.
I've been looking for that too but have not found it. I'll be sure to PM you with it if I do come across one
Please do. It looked to me like with only 3 tackles it went to Lewan and just wanted to take a closer look. Thanks.
Have to say you see a team like Louisville which is never high in recruiting rankings and has gone through a bunch of coaches take Florida to the woodshed and it makes you wonder. We play South Carolina (without their best offensive player) and we're happy just to be in it and "hang with" a good SEC team.
I think we need to look at context.
This was Louisville's 3rd year under Charlie Strong. With tonight's win in the Sugar Bowl against Florida, Louisville finished 11-2.
But look at Strong's first 2 seasons at Louisville.
In 2010, Louisville went 7-6 (3-4 in the Big East) with a 31-28 bowl win over a 8-4 Southern Miss team.
In 2011, Louisville went 7-6 (5-2 in the Big East) with a 31-24 bowl loss to a 7-5 NC State team.
By comparison, Brady Hoke has fared much better in his first two seasons. And frankly I think we did more than "just hang" with South Carolina. We should've won that game.
There is a reason that year 3 is used by many to judge a coach. Most coaches that win a National Championship do so in year 3 (or year 4 in some cases). Howard Schnellenberger of the Miami Hurricanes is the only one that I can think of who won his a National Championship in year 5 but he essentially built the program out of nothing after Lou Saban.
Hence, I will use next season to judge Brady Hoke at Michigan. Next year Michigan has a favorable schedule and our coaches will have many of the players needed to run their preferred system.

I don't think Louisville is better than us. I mean Louisville just put up a great performance on the day. And that's more what made me jealous. When was the last time Michigan went out to play a team better than us, more talented etc., and just outperformed them, dominated them on the day? The closest thing maybe was beating Florida in 07 but then that Florida team was a 9-3 Florida too.
Well if not for our poor pass rush from the D-Line and the lack of speed in our secondary we would of destroyed USCe. Instead they won the game in the final seconds that we should have won.
Oregon is insanely fast offensively. Will they look the same if Kelly leaves?
If they have a coach who can recruit like Kelly, Oregon will be much the same.
I enjoyed Ole Miss smacking down Pitt!!!!
Oh and Nick Saban says thanks for Robert Foster. He is going to be a BEAST! pitt sucks bad, but ND Sucks worse.
