Well he is someone who could show up under any number of names that is very oppionated and very quick to make pretty outrageous recruiting claims that hardly ever turned out correct but for which he always had an excuse. He was a Michigan fan that was either a moron or just throwing out BS to get the rest of us pissed off...sort of an internal troll. My advice is don't make predictions unless you know it is a lock or the more informed guys on the board, of which I am not, will eat you alive.
I think he switched from a UM fan to a LSU fan and is now going by the name PurpNGold.
Tomorrow is the big day! Cornell rejection will be official!
Way to have faith!
After the recent events, I've lost it all
What really pisses me off though is I'll most likely miss the basketball game because of baseball practice.
At least next week I'll be intoxicated for the most part.
Thanks! The wait for the Michigan decision is still killing me because I still have a little hope in getting accepted there; small though.
Mitch will hang out with you if you get in!
Highly possible. Highly dangerous.
Don't give him syphilis.
Same here, seems like all the colleges are making admissions harder.
He would be lucky if that's all he contracted after a night with me.
I was looking at Michigan's classes back to 2000, it's absolutely crazy. Had a top 10 player almost every year up to 05' and then you can see us fall off a cliff.
I know, I think it's because of the commonapp allowing everyone to apply online with ease, so admissions are becoming even more competitive then they already were.
Back when I applied to Cornell I think there were about 32,000 applicants for around 3,000 spots, and it grew by about 2,000 every year that I was there. It's just unbelievable. Cornell usually accepts around 5,000 to fill their class, but they got even more selective after my freshman year, because a lot more kids than expected accepted, so my freshman class was around 3,500. The combination of more applicants and a more selective process makes it that much harder every single year.
I'm unsure of the total number, but regular decision alone had 36,000 applicants. I'd assume there are about another 1,500 or so that were in early decision
I swear this board only consists of like 20 of us that post on a regular basis. Need some more traffic, especially during the work day. Stop being over achievers.
"Those Who Stay...Will be Champions"
Good stuff here.
Thank you for that. I think it is pretty funny how much he is hated. Yeah I am not really a prediction type of guy. I predicted Treadwell to go to Michigan last year so I am done with that shit. its bad luck
Yeah, I'm terrified of jinxing stuff. Maybe it comes from being a baseball player (we once made one of our teammates stare at a crack in the back of the dugout for 4 innings because our pitcher was on fire and just mowing people down while this guy stared at a particular crack), but I just don't even want to make guesses, no matter how much of a lock a guy might seem.
I feel ya on the baseball players being superstitious. I'm a baseball player myself and we've done some crazy things to keep streaks alive. "Never f*** with a winning streak" -Kevin Costner (Crash Davis) - Bull Durham
hahahaha made ur teammate stare at a crack in the dugout that is pretty damn funny. I am a hockey player and if you know about hockey players, they are very superstitious too. if you screw up a routine like a pre game chew...u will pay for it lol
And it's official, was not accepted by Cornell.
Well at least Miami gave me $12,000 annually worth of financial aid today.
