Come on now guys.

  • Yes, tonight sucked. But all the "fire Beilein!" crap is not the right answer. He's one of the best talent evaluators out there and is a really good offensive mind. Beilein certainly deserves some of the blame, but it's only partially his fault.

  • Seriously. While it was a poor showing, it's silly not to acknowledge that we're in a much better place basketball-wise with Beilein than we would be without him.

lol Anyone who wants to fire Coach B needs to first stop watching basketball and second turn in their Michigan fan cards.

  • Lol, who is saying fire Beilein? Anyway, like everyone who watched the game tonight, I'm very disappointed. That should've been an easy win setting us up for a possible B1G title shot and a #1 seed going into the tournament. Instead, we were all reminded just how young our team is and how easily they can get rattled on the road. I'm also a little disappointed because maybe this team isn't quite as good as we thought.

On the bright side, we could be even better next year even without Trey.

Beilein is starting to remind me of Bill Frieder, all offense not much defense. Penn State scored 80+ points on a team supposedly full of NBA players. Imo, all that has to do with is effort and making the defensive end a priority.

  • I haven't seen 1 fire Beilein post on this board, and I'd be willing to bet if they exist, they were probably made by one of the passive aggressive trolls that try and act like UM fans, when in reality all they do is try and start crap.

  • I seem to remember not too far back when Beilein was considerered a denfensive coach and not an offensive coach. Now that he's has predominantly offensive talent there seems to have been a flip. I don't buy it. Trey is great on both ends of the court and most probably will be gone next year. RG3 and Hardaway are both great offensive talents but sometimes seemed lost on defense and they need to improve. I think it would be in both of their best interests to return for another year, but Hardaway will most likely leave too. Defense is a team effort and it doesn't take more than a player or two off their game for things to break down.

I never remember Beilein as a defensive coach. Not at WVU, not at Richmond.

I don't vividly remember his days at Canisius.

  • Haven't seen one comment to fire Beilein personally.|

That said, this team is adrift right now, and the coach is responsible for that.

The game I was listening to had their guards outplaying our guards. I don't agree with this both sides of the court crap. Burke had 18 and Newbill had 17 that is not great when your the projected player of the year. +1 for the entire game. Do you think Newbill is going to be a high draft pick?

Burke is an offensive player who needs some work on the defensive side of the court.

  • I HATE EVERYTHING!!!!!
    that is all.

also, while that sucked, Beilein uber alles

Fire Beilein simple as that. He couldn't do at WVU and he won't do it here

Ha, fuck you beilein. Your team can't play defense.

Deserves to be fired. Team has been overrated all year.
