Cole Talks Upcoming Michigan Visit

  • Cole is the fourth ranked guard in the country by 247Sports and is the 62nd ranked player overall. He has high interest from Alabama, Notre Dame and USC; the three schools Michigan is most likely contending with for his services.

    I don't think it will be overly hard to get Scott TBH with Cole committed. They just recently said they will most likely go to the same school and Scott has already been on campus twice.

    This sounds weird because it's so early for Campbell, but this weekend is huge in his recruitment for Michigan because it may be one of the only chances they get to impress him for awhile and open his eyes to what schools other than Florida have to offer.

  • Getting Cole is huge. He would be our 4th commitment and all from outta state. That speaks volumes of how hard the coaches are recruiting kids that they want. If we get Scott on top of this it's all groovy baby

  • In regards to Scott, I know the article where he flat out says "we're going to school together" but he doesn't seem like a big Michigan fan. Now, I'm just going off articles, but you can see how much Mason Cole likes Michigan. Scott always seems to say "it's nice." I don't know. Maybe someone else has a different opinion?

    It's based on his player page.

    Notre Dame and Michigan have always been considered the frontrunners for him; USC is somewhat up there although after Monte Kiffin got let go it tailed off a bit. He had a great visit at Alabama and they offered, although I'd probably move them down to warm.

    If you're curious as to Ohio State's chances, they are far behind Michigan and ND. I guess you could say they're still in it though.

    I wouldn't go that far...there's always a chance in recruiting. I just think the other two schools have resonated a lot more to him than Ohio State has. This is his third visit to Ann Arbor.

  • Scott is not going to be a "package deal" with Cole. He could end up signing here, but it will because he made his own decision not because of Cole committing to Michigan.

    I think Cole could maybe help out with Scott, but at the end of the day I think he goes elsewhere.

    Don't shy away Steve....tell them how you really feel. They'll still say he's an ohio lean anyway. No getting thru to them.

    I also tweeted him wishing him a good time and that hopefully he would finish it by getting a Project 135 shirt. After the messages that there have been, I think it's a possibility.

    This would be a HUGE pull for us and that is not even taking into consideration the fact that he can hopefully help work on Scott and Campbell.
