Chance Stewart commits to Wisconsin

I want as good a QB as we can get in every class. Shane has a great arm, and he's been one of the top kids in these 7 on 7's, but that's not real football. It's still about decision making, and we really don't know how good he'll be at that. So, you keep recruiting, and then you create competition.
Giving the job, before he deserved it, to Drew Henson blinded a lot of people to what Tom Brady was actually accomplishing. Brady should have never had to split snaps with Henson, even though Henson was a top notch prospect. It was a prime example of the hype placed on Henson overriding common sense, because Brady was obviously outperforming him.
I love Morris' potential, but if I'm Brady Hoke, I keep recruiting QB's with no regard to Morris' hype.

Oh no doubt. I think we have a legit shot at Henderson and 247 has him very highly ranked. Kizer likes us. Key likes us.

yep i totally agree with you. Also important to keep Tech sending them our way. I think Ferns is in the bag. Drake is really starting to get some big time offers. We don't wanna make the same mistake Urban did and leave sore taste in the mouths of in state kids (I'm in no way staying we are). It's still very early but i think we should throw our hat in the ring for Drake. Obviously the coaches know what is going on so I'm not worried. I just LOVE locking up instate and Cass Tech recruits!!

Hmmm- who's the best QB in the 2014 class - Michigan has a legit shot at? I know nothing about any of them...

I think Coleman Key/Caleb Henderson are Tier 1, Kizer is Tier 2, Stewart is Tier 3 - but they're all good.

I like Stewart just as much as Kizer. Haven't seen any tape on Key or Henderson to really say on them.

Don't forget about Joe Henderson. Could be a SAM or grow into a WDE.

The problem with these rankings is that none of these kids have even played/started their junior year of high school football yet so while Henderson might be a great prospect I just don't put much stock into his ranking at this point. I understand the recruiting process has been accelerated because of all the access their is to kid's film now a days, but I think it's a little early to be talking about which kids are tier 1 and which kids are tier 2. Lots of developing for these kids to do, that is why im so high on Kizer. I think his potential is through the roof and with more coaching/seasoning he could be an elite level prospect.

I agree, gotta keep recruiting nothing is ever guaranteed.

agreed, Drake looks like a great propect and he's a hometown kid from our pipeline school.

I personally think Henderson is the best of the bunch, but Key and Kizer both have a lot of upside as well... would be happy with any of them.

absolutely, we have alot of great options at qb and more will continue to emerge, very likely our coaches find their guy.
