I don't think we let one get away. They've already made it clear that Key is likely to get the first offer then I think its between kizer and Henderson.

Eh, I wouldn't say that just yet. The coaches haven't offered any QBs for 2014 and considering Stewart has arguably had the most exposure with the coaches perhaps the coaches just weren't sold. Plus I'm confident we will have a signal caller just as nice if not better. but its a long time until Feb 2014 so we will see.

Have to believe the depth chart in Madison is more appealing than ours with Shane right there in 13

The only reason I would say we let one get away is because that's exactly what we did. Now is that a bad thing, only time will tell and we hopefully will land a better prospect at QB. We let one get away because he grew up a Michigan fan, prob would have committed on the spot. He would have been our first commit for 2014 and could have started recruiting like Shane did (I'm sure not as well). The other thing u gotta thing about is it may be difficult to find a big time QB that will come in and compete with Shane. I think chance would have because he grew up loving Michigan. Now I don't fault the coaches for waiting one bit and honestly if he doesn't want to wait and prove to the coaches he deserves a UM offer then cya later. I'm glad he went to Wisconsin if he had to go somewhere else. I just hope we don't end up empty handed or with not as good as a prospect as he is. It will be hard to pull OOS kids knowing shane is a grade ahead IMO

This makes no sense. Badgers just transfer in 1 and done guys from other schools. He will never see the field.

I doubt it. I think they'll take their time - they've seen Stewart enough to know that they had other targets they wanted more. If they viewed Stewart on a level comparable to Key, Henderson and the others, I think they would've offered him. It's hard to let home state talent like that get away unless you're just not sold.
Also, I think 2014 QB recruiting will be a little tough just because of depth chart issues. We'll see if Shane redshirts in 2013, but it's so hard to recruit an elite QB if you're selling them on only one, maybe 2 years of a favorable depth chart. USC can do it simply because they recruit elite QBs every single year, but it's a bit harder when it's Michigan and we've got a kid like Shane Morris coming in.
All that being said, I'm not really too worried about it. I had a feeling Stewart would end up being the odd man out even before Key and Henderson entered the picture - I think the coaches are high on Deshone Kizer too, and despite what I may have said in the past, I'm now of the opinion that we really aren't going to take 2 QBs in 2014, it's just not feasible or reasonable.

`He was just on campus for the BBQ im sure he knows where he stands with the coaching staff. There are alot of good linebackers in the midwest in the 2014 cycle so will see how this ends up playing out.

Caleb Henderson is the cream of the crop imho. Kizer has a ways to go as a passer. Great arm but is inaccurate and doesn't display touch on his passes.

I would be perfectly happy taking Ferns and Drake and shutting it down. I don't want the coaches to wait on Dante Booker (he's going to OSU, IMO) or Clifton Garrett at the risk of losing Drake.

agreed, really hate him droppin off the board already but i think we'll be fine and land an elite qb in the 14 class.
