One of the Peach State's top prospects plans to be in Ann Arbor for the Ohio State game.

  • I want to point out also that he faces top notch competition. I went to and graduated from South Gwinnett HS, and they face powerhouses like Parkview, Brookwood, Grayson, etc. I know competition level comes up often when looking at recruits so I thought I throw that out there.

  • Hearing all this stuff about Michigan and 2013 recruits makes me very happy the staff did such an amazing job in getting the 2012 class wrapped up quickly to get a head start on 2013. Its going to pay dividends in 2013.

    Hell yeah it is!!

He had me in awe a couple of times watching his Sophomore tape. Just a few things that I noticed were, hes got amazing closing speed on the ball carrier, hes an elite, elite athlete and has one hell of a motor. He was on the line the whole tape, but he's a bit of tweener so I doubt that's where he ends up in college. He looks like a LB and a great one at that. Anyway, it's great to hear were in the mix for this kid.

I think he weighs like 230 too, he has good speed for that size and could play linebacker in the big ten.

  • Do you see him playing linebacker at the next level? I ask because at 6'1 it can be hard to play defensive end although it can be done.

The Wolverines are recruiting Carter as a outside linebacker. He would definitely be undersized at DE but he is one of those guys that can make plays regardless of his size!

  • Consider the fact that a young man from the SEC territory lists Michigan is BIG. All the press indicates that anyone worth anything only will play in the SEC. Well, let Hoke, Borges and Mattison continue to knock on the door of the best of the best. We will continue to harvest the best in the mid-west and take our pick and choose the best talent nationally. Where would you rather play, for a SEC school or for the TOP Defensive coordinator from the NFL who left the NFL for none other than our Michigan!

  • I saw his sophomore video on youtube earlier today and he's definitely an impressive prospect.

  • Just asked my little sister if she knew him (she's a Junior at South Gwinnett too) and she's good friends with him and says he's a good guy with good character. Not really usefully info I know, but thought I'd pass it along.

I think it actually is good information. I like when recruits are high character guys as it stands to reason that they would be less likely to get into trouble in college. Also that they would represent the University well on and off the field.

  • just watched his sophomore tape.

Pretty similar player to Ojemeduia, but a little bigger.

He looks like a future 3-4 OLB to me that stands up and rushes the passer.
