Can You Root For Sparty?

Looks like Nebraska will most likely run the table from here. MSU sucks this year. We're head and shoulders better than MSU, and since we couldn't beat Nebraska, I don't think Sparty has a shot in hell of knocking them off even though the game is in EL.
That said, I don't think I can get myself to root for Sparty next week, even though it's probably the only way we'll be able to get to the Rose Bowl. Am I crazy or does any one else feel that way?

No problem. I rooted for them vs Boise, ND, and tOSU.

If Northwestern would have hung on against Nebraska, this loss would have been easier to accept.

I'm not sure what you are saying. it's still a big ten loss. it doesn't matter if they lose to a leaders or legends team

Why wouldn't you root for sparty if it means sending us to the Rose Bowl? I think Nebraska will lose at least one more game, which makes the OSU game even more important for us.

I would think that there is a very good chance that MSU will beat UNL if they hadn't played so poorly at Nebraska last year. I'd say both teams are held back by their OCs so its hard to tell who is better. It's frustrating to see how much your WRs have seemed to improve while ours still are pretty weak.

I can root for Sparty to get absolutely blown out when they play Nebraska. I will cheer for Penn State to beat Nebraska. Screw MSU.

Most people on this board are reasonable people, but this made me chuckle. These two teams couldn't be more evenly matched and the game 8 days ago proved as much. MSU is a few made field goals away from being 8-1 (5-0). No excuses and they are what their record says they are, but let's not get carried away.

They also a few missed opportunities away from being 2-7, could you say the same thing about michigan? Both teams aren't very good either way imo.
