Caleb Stacey Decommiting from Michigan

Caleb Stacey just posted on FB that he wanted to put it our there before anyone else leaks it that he is decommitting from Michigan and staying home to play for Cincinnati. This opens up another spot on the line I guess but this sucks.

Sucks, but he must do what is best for him.
I wish him nothing but the very best and hope he has a great career at Cincinnati.

Too bad, he was always a good kid and seemed really excited. That incoming OL depth chart is scary though so it's understandable. Now two of Kozan, Diamond, and Garnett can come

This. Caleb is a high-character young man, and I wish him the best of luck at Cincinnati. Although he was one of our lower-rated commits, no one has any idea how these lineman will actually shake out.
Hopefully we can replace him with two of the three players you mentioned. Personally, I feel good about landing Garnett and Kozan.

No. We still talk to Zach Kline a lot (Cal commit) but he's said he's solid to Cal after their coach left.

It sucks to lose a guy at a position of need. I wish Caleb the best while he attends the University of Cincinnati.

Clearly Caleb had a plan by virtue of his immediate commitment to Cinci. Obviously he wasn't "forced out" just a couple weeks prior to signing day. He found a place to play close to home.
Good luck at Cinci.

A poster (may have been another board, don't remember) had hinted a month or two ago that we shouldn't be surprised to get another decommit. I think this was after Standifer decommitted. The first guy that came to mind for me was Stacey if only because we have so many OL in this class and lets face it, he is the lowest ranked of the bunch. If we can fill his spot with a better prospect then it all works out for us. Either way, good luck to him.
Now lets get Garnet and Diamond to fill that hole.

It'd be a stretch. Plus, Jack Miller is a great option at OC and he's only a RS FR next year.
