Brown and Michigan have parted ways.

    I wouldn't say 0% chance IMO.

Also, do we know that the coaches have a no visit policy? They never really talked to Richardson and RJS about it, Coach Wilcher did.

I believe the coaches weren't happy about hearing rumors of Royce Jenkins-Stone and Terry Richardson wanting to take visits. Then I think I read somewhere that the coaches wouldn't consider them committed if they did take visits. Wilcher then got involved and both of them decided to not take theirs visits.

see i don't really like the "no visit" rule. If i was a high school star football recruit i'd want to take my visits just like everybody else gets to even though i knew i was going to Michigan. I just think it would be fun to go see games at stadiums like Oregon, Florida, Clemson or whatever.

Yeah, the only thing I can see happening is if the coaches had no idea and then heard later that he was at Oregon on an OV. If he had sat down and talked to the coaches about it, that might have made everything clear.

Per TOS...Pharaoh Brown and Michigan are parting ways, coaching staff not happy that he official'd to Oregon this weekend without asking and going behind their backs.

Good news we have another ship back in play.

Have no problem with this. Brown knew better. Good luck to him, we move on.

I guess you have to look at it on the coaches perspective.

You never know what goes on during visits, kids are very easily swayed it seems like now. The coaches can't afford a late season de-commitment, especially if it was on Signing Day.

Hoke wants kids who are serious about Michigan.

It's a privilege to play for Michigan.

Sneeky kids = looking for a new team. WIth some of the high rollers maybe coming on board, I would rather save the scholarship.

    I don't get it either.

I'm so happy that we got our own site!

That being said, I don't understand the use of the VIP function on posts like this (when a decommit is general knowledge), either. It sorta flies in the face of what made us a "unique" community on tBB.

I really, really love this site. I can't wait to see what the future has in store for us.

Not sure yet. Brown isn't talking to anyone. I'm sure we'll have word from Steve or Clint sometime tomorrow about it.

    No to Schutt.

Doubt it on your second part.

  • couldnt say much when he was a commit because you get trashed for saying anything negative about a commit, but i was a little dissapointed when he comitted. The 5th best de in his own state, and better targets available. liked him better when he was a te recruit. he should have felt honored just to have a chance to play for UM. Was Oregon even pursuing him hard?

Go read Rivals. It's over. Parting ways is exactly what's happening.

then dont commit so early. if you are good enough the coaches will hold a spot for you. I dont think Brown is good enough to hold a spot for. Rather try and sway Pittman if he can get his grades in order, or tell Obrien a spot just opened up and see if he bites.

Won't happen with O'Brien. He was ours if we wanted him, and we backed off.

This kind of reminds me of the Wayne Morgan situation. Even though Morgan wasn't fully committed.

Morgan was ready to commit to Michigan, but pushed back his decision. After that, Michigan and Wayne parted ways.

As was stated earlier this is per rivals. It is over and he is even tweeting about being upset. Read the tea leaves on this one.

I'll put is in another situation: let's say you are engaged and you tell your soon to be wife/husband that you went on a really romantic awesome date with a supermodel or the like. How would they feel about that? Not too happy I would say.

If you want to take your visits then don't commit somewhere so early on. It is understandable if you want to look around, but once you commit somewhere it generally means you are happy and choose that to be your school so you don't need to look around.

I wouldn't compare taking visits to sleeping around when you are engaged.
